  1. Any idea what the tuner's like on the Pioneers? Likeing the P88RS though... classy and powerful!
  2. Ok so looks like it's down to either Alpine or Nakamichi Anyone used a Nak MB100 6disc head unit? I'm guessing it'll need an external amp??? Lisa.. it's my alarm, no choice about that LED.... Andy, feck off and get some sleep! :fist:
  3. Well my old Sony's finally giving up a bit on me (it is 15 yrs old and done service in 7 cars) Harness is broken under the sheathing and the Changer's Skipping on bumps more often (weak springs?) So I'd like to replace it with a new head unit and changer combo (still in the realms of CD's and don't want hassle of changing on the move). Any recommendations? Want to stay with a black facia (silver looks tacky), to stay in keeping with the dash. Green/red illumination (No blue LEDs for me!)... Would like I-pod connectivity too as I'm just feeling my way into this 21st centry music phenomina! Thanks!
  4. Yup mine's done it for 3 years too! Try Rain-x stuff for condensation, seemed to work for a bit on mine..
  5. Central Sun-visor from DaveWort... great price well packaged, and sorry for the short delay, thanks to rubbish friends and overwork! Top guy!
  6. Ok Baby Pink then.. keep the Midwifery-mobil theme alive!
  7. Neon Pink FTW! ! Go on Mic dare you to get in touch with your feminine side!
  8. Almost poperly wet myself at the Driving the Winnebago... ups the May/Clarkson level from the "Polar" expedition
  9. Does going to Eire count as passing? If so does that make Vick's (ex jay) the messiah?
  10. Kewl.. cheers.. any-one know if the looms differ too?
  11. Hey guys, quick question.. do the early and late Recaro interiors use the same "Ultra-violet" fabric? Or are they different? :confused4:
  12. :offtopic: True, my Sony in-car 10-disc's 15yr's old, done service in 6 cars and is still going (fairly) stong... Problem is with home electronics is that there have been such quick technology advances that it's hardly worth making stuff to last... Anyway back to the normal IROC service!
  13. Any-one??? Help! Need this fixed ASAP as MOT's due next month! :pale:
  14. John, I have these Ferrari items on the Rado.. do I expect a knock on the door from some Italian Legal types with a horse head tucked under their arm soon too? :pale: Or will it be a Son of a "fachist" dressed innapropriately? :hitler:
  15. Jim.... inbuilt life-span? This is the reason you see very few "modern classics" ie sub-15 yrs old... and why there are still so many Air-cooled/Mk1-2 golfs about... Simple mechanics... Once spoke to teh guy who designed the Austin "Land-crab" and they designed a 10yr lifespan into it, hence there's a U shaped channel on the inner wing, that traps mud... rust out the inners and volia! You have to buy a new car! Added to the Monkey metal they used in the 70's... These days they can't get round that so they use electronics which become obsolete in a few years after the build stopped (Think VAG are currently stopping spares production after 5 yrs) meaning it's often more econimically viable to buy a new car... than a new engine ECU... Cynical but true I'm afraid! It's don't we have fuel-cells yet when the technology's been available for decades? But yeah the points you make do also have somthing to do with it as well!
  16. Big up to Darren and Rob @ G-Werks o/night delivery of my Coils and no uplift in price! BIG Thanks guys!!
  17. Agree with Phil... go back in wearing your best Spy-coat and button-hole camera!
  18. Get out my head! Doesn't look to bad in that fuzzy focus pic!
  19. To be W/Champ you have to be agressive, and as far as I can see Lewis is a pussy-cat compared to some previous champs(e.g. Schuey/Villneurve) yes he's hard but not really dangerous. Plus they should all learn to get out his way quicker! Just hope McLaren don't drop the ball car-wise next year...
  20. He should be fairly easy to identify from here I love the whistle from his turbo. Almost sounds like it's got a gas turbine rather than 12l and a hefty compressor. Hmm Mr Oliver you think??
  21. Yup was splashed in the paper this morning too! Apparently the "association of prostitues" has complained as well... now don't get me wrong but since when can an illegal profession have it's own "association"...? :cuckoo: What next the "association of crack pushers" or the "assocation of muggers" saying that it's unfair that they are suffering from Police Harassment?? Must admit I was laughing at the constant "reduction of chat shows" comments in the Parky interview! Now come on who knows who "fat-Stig" is??
  22. Andy.. White rich Brits? There will only be 2 brits on the grid next year... Hamilton and Button (assuming he has a seat)... there are 4-5 Germans At the moment, think it's the "Shuey" effect! But yes there has been a "Glass ceiling" as far as Motor racing is concerned, not just in europe but also in the US... I don't think I ever saw a black driver/mechanic in my time with the ALMS out there either... But Lewis has got there by sacrifice and raw talent... Not sure it's a "Race" issue, just an "Access" thing, it's easier and cheaper to get into other sports (eg football/athletics) than the "Gentlemans sport" of Motor-racing... Even the lowliest formula can cost £5k a Season (without car/repair costs) Personally don't care if he's sky-blue-pink with yellow spots! First English F1 champ since Damon... and I'm chuffed! Oh and how many of you know we also have a triple World champion in a relativly high profile motorsport that no-one has heard of?
  23. Ideal, speedo reads about 5mph over... that way no Flashy-flashy in the mirrors as you pass yellow boxes!* *If you're obeying speedlimits! All based on 16v 195/50/15 orginals though! I'm moving down to 16's for the winter with 195/45's
  24. had a look at the last Q in this thread Jon?? *cough*cough* *Cough -answered-cough*
