  1. Yeah Guessed that, just wanted to make sure as I'd probably end up with a Grey Turbot'd VR up my jacksie doing that on our "Private Test Track" So what would be bedding in for F/R pads? The same just lower speeds?
  2. Hmm somewhat confused about what I have just slung on the car... Box labelled Pagid fast Road pads.. but not on the site... http://www.pagid-brake-pads.co.uk... I'm guessing as they are Black coloured on the backs they are "RS4-2-1"??? Also the bedding in process on the pagid site seems a bit Excessive for road discs/pads:
  3. Mayback £80K Bargain!
  4. Been a while since any updates were done... oh and I did name the guy on the bad seller forum too! Any way latest updates since the above are: Shed in back garden means my parts are not spread all over the place so started a push on teh car again! Set of Winter wheels (928/tyres/adaptors picked up from the Edition show - yes I did finally find an honest ED-Seller!) will to be sent to BJV for special refurb. LM's will follow afterwards too thanks to the idiot in the M5 in Asda carpark on his mobile forcing me into a curb! :bad-words: Pagid "Fast road" Discs and pads on the front. Smoked headlight protectors from Shawshank's mate (top quaily and fit) got a good going over with Rain-x last night so should see the winter out! Window Deflectors, again smoked, look really good in my opinion and don't really make much noise below 100 (as tested on Kev's "Private" test track! ) Oh and the Service on Sat highlighted a need for new A-Arms as the ball joints are begining to wear, :camp: which is a really good excuse as I'm going see Darren about a bonnet so will also pick up some KW-1's at the weekend! Also going to start doing some research into the BoxsterS caliper/Cupra disc for the fronts and see what I can use on rears to keep the brake-bias the same... similar to the 312/280VR boys... Plus need to get round to building my "Spare" headlights before the next MOT, and also Lamin-x the spare rears that I have as well! As well as sort out picking up the "ported" KR head and fast road cams that I've earmarked off a mates old mk2 16v... Oh and the paint needs sorting and sealing before winter sets in properly as well (Hello  Rob?)
  5. Bounce it to get suspension to settle a bit, or if you have room and some mates just push it forwards/ back..
  6. Full service, n/s outer cv, Discs and pads on the front... Rotated wheels. Fitted lens covers. And ended up re-tightening the banjo's on the fuel filter 3 times! And found play in lower A arms :( Suspesion next, once I get the Coilies...
  7. They're pretty damn quiet until about 100 (tested on a private road!) and much quieter with the window "cracked open" and they stop the seatbelt from flapping with the window opened too!
  8. I take your golf train and up you... Lego Wofsburg! :luvlove:
  9. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7687944.stm Dropping production by 1.8 million barrels? Sounds like a cynical way to push up the price of petrol... Doesn't the word "recession" appear in the Arab dictionary? :mad2:
  10. Just remember that if you do smooth off the markings that for a MOT the lights have to be E-marked so you'll need spare MOT lights! :norty:
  11. Nice one Jon, PM me deatil and I'll get my spare panel out to you! I'm going to play with Glow-in-the-dark paint and put some "oem" lines (Like on the fan switch) to see if that makes them a bit more visable at night!
  12. Oh Damn you! There goes the bank balance again! NOTE! They apparently stock Instument Bezel screw covers (the ones that always dissapear!) and Parcel shelf straps!
  13. MAJIK! (as Mr Daniels would say!) If you use fairly fine tape it should bend without wrinkling...
  14. Nick, just do the wheels Black, then you can Tape the rims using Helfauds finest Fine-line pinstripe tape! That way you can change the colour whenever you get "Bored" Mate's done this with his Black Ibiza CupraR rims, so far gone red and now runs day-glo pink tape, sounds :gag: actually looks Ok (Black car too)
  15. Down to personal preferance I guess! For me, after seeing SpicyG60's Lamin-x smoked rears, they give a pretty close to "Golf16v" look on a Pearl Grey Rado. But some other colours look better with Reds, Dragon Green , Black, and Aqua blue for example. On a related topic, any-one running uprated bulbs in their smoked ones? If so what wattage?
  16. Wooo that's been sent out quick! Yeah they are quite good and just clip into the window channels, yet the windows wind up with no resistance... No "fitting kit" unless you count the inch of double sided tape on the back edge, which I didn't need to use!
  17. Jon, does the LED white version light up the actual controls better? Also does anyone have a spare fan knob and heater sliders? I feel an experiment with GITD paint coming on!
  18. vwdeviant

    I see???

Love the Corsa-look front end... Why Corrado's are grp 18 insurance over here so berks can't afford to run them!
  19. That's the bugger! They're the 70% ones aren't they?
  20. Quick and cheap... Halfords do a 50% brighter bulb Phillips do a 70% brigher bulb... Both are still 55/whatever so stay legal, just clever bulb-jiggery-pokery means they run brighter! Have Halfords ones in mine for over a year and while the difference isn't massive in-car they are a lot brighter from outside!
  21. Yup Electrical fire FTW... probably there's an Alfa in a similar state just up the road too! Or a moth flew into it causing it to turn into a ball of flame!
  22. Nick, can you post that photo I just sent (if it looks ok that is!)
