Yeah the de-locked ones are available through Cult-Society on german e-bay just now for about £40+postage. I was thinking of getting one myself 8)

I`d go with the immobiliser theory,my Golf Vr6 had the same symptoms lots of trial and error eventually found a stripped wire under the rear seat causing an earth,therefore no fuel pump and no starting :(

Yeah depends on the age of the car as to whether it comes with colour coded or chromey silver. 8) I think it is from `93 on that they come wih silver. :)

I went down this road a few weeks ago. The Corrado badge has been deleted by Vw,but you can get it from GPC. The VR6 badge is still available from Vw,but it is easier and probably cheaper buying both from GPC. 8)

jedi-knight83, I can vouch for this type of company,I`ve just had a few really bad ones taken out the creases in my doors.They are now perfect well worth the effort. 8)

Eug, Correct me if I am wrong but do you not have the option to have the car repaired. :?: I thought the customer had the right to have his vehicle repaired. The only reason the Insurance company will be trying to write it off is because it is uneconomical for them to repair. Due to th fact they have to use all new Vw parts approved repairers etc. Stick to your guns and get them to repair it. :wink: -

Eug, to be honest mate the damage does not look that bad. :) i would be tempted to negotiate with the insurance company,get a good deal and the car back. :) Then you have a wedge of cash and the car to repair cheaply,it`s got to be worth it 8) -
