G60Dan, It would probably take about £2-300,to Mot it and get it back on the road. :wink: I am maybe being a bit harsh on it as it has reasonable history with lots of receipts to back up the mileage. Which is probably average fo a 13 year old car. At £500 it must be the cheapest Corrado in Britain,or is it :?: seanoVR, I know what you are saying but as a project it would seem to be a sound base as most of the mechanics would be changed anyway. 8)

What value would you put on this? 1990 G reg 1.8 16v,Corrado,no tax no MOT,135K,some history. Overall condition is poor requires a fair bit of work to put back on the road. Good points no rust fairly good engine good basis for a 1.8 t conversion. Bodywork is straight and no signs of accident damage. The guy is asking for £1500 :lol: He has absolutely no chance of that. :oops: I offered him £500 just to take it away,but I am beginning to think I was being over generous. :? What do you think?

56 ragtop, The 8v was aimed at the same old dears who bought the Scirocco and thought they were trendy young things,all show and no go :lol: It really depends on what you are looking for in a car,if you want something just to pose around in any of the Corrados will do.If you want some show and go then the 16v fits the bill the running costs are not as great as the G60 or VR6. The G60 is definitely more go than the 16v and can give the VR6 a good run for its money in standard form,and can wipe the floor with it in mildly tuned form. The VR6 is very refined silky smooth six cylinder fantastic noise when being "booted" but the downside being it is very thirsty when being driven enthusiatically :!: Really very much a case of you pays yer money and make your choice. :) :mrgreen:

OSV, Must agree with you next to no details on performance or power gained by chipping. Maybe Dubcharged, could update us with all the details like power output, 0-60 times etc. Over to you Dubcharged, :) Certainly a good looking Rallye :mrgreen:

pookyvr6, Go for the S3 definitely more tuneable,cheaper to run and the R32 is now an old model :!: :!: :lol: S3 still has a bit of a Q car look about it take the badges off and surprise everyone. :!: :!:

Depends what your into :? I like PVW for vw related bits and pieces.They always seem to have better photographs,than the Golf.Although I do think that the the editorial is aimed a bit at the under twelves. :lol: :lol: For a really good read and quality photograhs I much prefer BIKE magazine 8) :lol:

GRINGOG60 I had the same seats in my VR6(see gallery pics) I had them up for sale for £600 and was in-undated with people looking for them. If you are selling the front,rear seats and possibly door cards ,you should get £600 easy. :) The thing is you will have to find leather and be prepared to pay for it. :shock:

vr6storm, You are right there are really only a couple of badges between a Storm and a leathered up VR6.The main difference is the exclusivity and collectability of a genuine Storm in years to come :shock: :) VR6 South, As far as --- LOST---- history goes all you need to do is take the registration number of the vehicle into your friendly neighbourhood VW dealer and ask them to check the service history.They will be able to tell you exactly how much history has been--- LOST :!: :!: :!: :lol: :lol:

vr6paul, Been there a few times before years ago it was very popular and well attended,with lots of spares available,mainly air-cooled right enough.A bit like Biggar but on a smaller indoor games hall scale. :lol: Last year was crap :!: Can only get better :lol: Going anyway 8)

brookescourt, The obvious question here is South African import WHY???? The car may be mint condition but I would say it is over priced and over here??? I would say don`t touch it, If you want a VR6 there are plenty of UK versions for sale,you will just have to look for them. Just my opinion :) :)

Diablo_G60, I had this problem on mine ,never did find the speed sensor :!: :!: Turned out it was not the box as previously described,if you need one I have three :!: :mrgreen:
