  1. vr6storm, Mine had 166k on it when I sold it and it still ran perfectly,as for the price it is way too high 4k max. 8)
  2. too hot, Sold it,what now? :(
  3. My driveway cheap as well :!: :!:
  4. vr6paul2003, Yeah you are right a really nice one in Ardrossan 7k,low mileage service history etc.Worth the money if thats what you want. 8)
  5. Joe M, Sorry Joe it would appear I am talking sh*** :!: :!: I have just checked the Club GTI Website and it is on Sunday 29 JUNE 2003. Anytime I have been before it was on Saturday and it rained :!: Sorry Joe
  6. Joe M, It`s only a one day show so it`s Saturday only :!:
  7. Joe M, I had them on a golf for a while and the only real problem I found with them was they were a bit soft and tended to wear quite quickly, good grip though. :)
  8. I would go as it is only about half an hour from me but I am going to Florida instead.  My Corrado is getting painted when I am away,so I expect to see big changes when I get back 8) 8) Kames is normally quite a good day out,so long as it doesn`t rain. :) :!:
  9. C6 SVR, Do the seats have the switches on the side of the bases? If so try taking the switches out take them apart and clean up the copper coloured contacts. I had this problem with the passenger side electric Recaro in my car this worked for me. Good Luck :)
  10. You want Angel Eyes just buy an M3 like the picture. 8) They look better on the M3 than the Corrado.

    leather

KARMANN, A full leather re-trim would cost 1250 pounds from MJ,that includes door cards, single colour. A full second hand leather interior would cost 600-700 pounds depending on the condition and spec,ie heated leather with looms and switches or Recaro. You will get them cheaper but price depends on condition. They are like hens teeth rocking horse sh** etc :!: :!: 8)
  12. DORSET_V_DUBSTER, Don`t worry about the mileage mine has done 168k,still has 193bhp goes like a train. The best bit is it was really cheap,so long as you know what you`re doing go for it :) :) 8)
  13. menace2society, I could recommend somewhere but it`s at the other end of the country from you and half the price you guys have been quoted.I got mine done and they came back like new. :) 8)

    Tyres

dubster82, Saw the bit about needing them before International, try your hardest to resist buying before and wait till you get there. You are guaranteed to get them cheaper there. :) :)
  15. baz, I have to agree with Campaign, I have owned two G60 and now have a Vr6. The Vr6 needs revving to get the best out of it,whereas the G60 tends to accelerate on a wave of torque. The difference between the two is like a 8v and 16v Mk2 Golf if that means anything to you. If I was you I would buy a G60 for about 3-3.5k and spend the extra cash on a supercharger rebuild and a chip and pulley. That way you will get an easy 200bhp and still have money left for wheels etc. :) To get the same power from a Vr6 you will need to spend big bucks to get a big improvement in power :(
  16. brookescourt, When your spoiler stopped working, did it still work on the switch or was that it nothing? The reason I ask is that my spoiler does not go up automatically.I was wondering if you know of the whereabouts of the speed sensor for it as I think that must be the problem.Failing that I think it needs Viagara
  17. Chris VR6nos, I would be interested as I am now beginning Project VR6,dependent on price of course. 8) :) :)
  18. vr6paul2003 Apparently there is a Max Power day at Crail this Saturday 12 April, might take a run through as my mate is taking his Golf Rallye through. 8)
  19. Joe M, Yeah a track car there`s an Idea,I would only need another bigger heavier car and trailer just to take it to Knockhill,(Kames would be hard pushed to get out of second gear  ) C6 SVR, The Recaros are not leather or heated but are in mint condition. However I do not want to go down the road of breaking it for spares 8) vr6paul2003, There is a lot of talk on the E-Group just now about a £3k VR6 with 120k miles whats wrong with it etc.But in fairness to the cars I don`t think £3k or even £2.5k is too bad it is after all a 10 year old car. 8)
  20. G60, I agree with you mate I would seriously consider another G60 as I think they have more torque low down and you don`t have to rev the nuts off it to get it to shift I also think that you are right as far as tuning goes it is easier to get more power cheaper from a G60 than a VR6. :D At the recent Scottish Rolling Road day the top power for the day was 200bhp at the flywheel for a relatively low mileage Vr6 with about a £1k worth of engine mods. Standard cars were doing about 192-193bhp no problem :) The same amount of cash or less spent on a G60 would easily get you the same power but I bet it would be much faster off the mark than the VR6. 8) Decisions decisions :D
  21. Pau1,Yeah I agree withyou on the recent run through to Star for the rolling road day my VR6 was showing 24mpg,admittedly that was fairly "spirited"  driving.
  22. Having recently had a change in circumstances,I now have a decision to make and was wondering what you guys think I should do :?: :? :? My VR6 is about to become a weekend toy and no longer my daily driver.(basically I don`t need it :( ) The car is a high mileage average - good condition,FSH,VR6, metallic paint 17" wheels, electric Recaros(worth about £2,500 if you want to buy it) :) It is not a classic low mileage collectors item. :( Now to the point. :D Should I keep the car and use it as the base for Project VR6- Supercharger,Turbo,VSR,cams or 1.8T conversion. :D 8) Fit and paint new bumpers and side skirts. Change the brakes, suspension, leather re-trim. 8) Keep it for shows, dry days, weekends and holidays. 8) Any thoughts
  23. dan, Yeah you are right my Golf VR6 runs much smoother than the C.which is positively lumpy in comparison 8) :)
  24. 8vg60, Hey looking good really like that front bumper and is that Vauxhall Calibra side skirts I spy. :?: 8)
  25. Robch, There is one on my local Autotrader low mileage 60k,£9995,theres also another one 105k @£5,800.Really depends how much you want to pay for one. :) :)
