do the part numbers differ if its from a passat estate or not? I ask as I've replaced my glass with what I thought is a passat estate version and it doesnt fit as well as my previous one even though the part numbers are the same. I may just need to play with the adjustments but wanted to ask. What about ordering the seal abroad? UK VW always seem to charge over the odds.

i had the exact problem with min not reving past certain revs and had the same erro code. turned out to be the crank speed sensor

Thanks James, do you have any delay between the actual engine speed and the rev counter? Mine is slightly slow on the rev counter but your vid makes it look like its spot on. what did you use?

Fanjita, I may have missed it but how did you get the rev meter to work?

mine when i first got it running had idleing issues. i found an air intlet leak and after sorting that all seemed fine. im starting to wonder if this idle issue is common on first start, maybe the ecu after the reprogramming needs a bit of time to settle down?!?!

Whats that plug feeding into? I cant remember it. Looking at the image it doesnt look like its supposed to fit together as there are four pink prongs at the top but only to ports.

agree to a certain level dogger, in the past Ive tried to get carbon boots made up, I got to the point of having quotes made, and just needed people to commit at which point it fell over. I must admit I havent kept on top of this as Ive been busy as can be seen in my lack of forum posts lately. However, carbon boot lids are probably not as desirable as carbon/fibre/kevlar wings. Maybe if you are able to make these you could give an idea of costs and those who are serious about having some made up (like me) will consider placing orders. Wings/fenders will be in demand as finding metal versions in good condition is getting tough. Do you have any examples of your previous cf etc results?
