£25 including postage. yes, working. But need to check its the right version for your car. get to yours and find a part number. there are two main versions, early and late spec wiring The same signal is sent to the spoiler control to raise and lower so to me it sounds like the spoiler module has had it. does it go down when using the electrical switch, if so then the modules sounds likely.
-
try replacing the spoiler control box, I have one spare ;-)
-
early corrado's came with mechanically driven speedo's later ones came with electrical senders. the senders should fit the gearbox easy enough, but the wiring may be a little more tricky, you may need to refer to the electrical wiring. tbh, if your wanting to convert to the audi dash, you'll have to become comfortable with wiring diagrams to get the switches to work and even the instrument cluster.

I find the search feature useful ;-) http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?54896-How-cold-is-your-aircon-in-Corrado Yours should be better than the RHD air con systems as yours would be original dealer fit (should be anyway), the RHD were an aditional bit fitted by Diava.

good luck with this, sounds a knightmare. Can you not convert your car from cable drive to wire signal for the speedo? This would allow you to use the full led screen for mileage etc. or is this too difficult? I spoke to Mark at SWICT and he told me that older generation audi a3 and golf mk4's use simple signals to feed the instrument cluster, newer ones use CAN bus which would be difficult to implement. sorry, couldnt help further, but will keep an eye on this incase I decide to do the same thing

oh, so your trying to find somewhere who supply these? I can't help. But your post came across as you needed them delivering to a UK address then off to Finland, just seemed a little backwards. try [email protected] , they may be able to give you a list of suppliers, then its a case of going through each one until you get success. Good luck anyway
-
why cant you get them delivered to Finland?

Thanks Pete for the suggestions, never checked the aftermarket FPR. Its quite possible the FPR is faulty or the adjusting screw has moved. Injectors shouldnt be a problem due to the engine only being about 25k, but it did cross my mind. However, I've fitted a new VAG ignition switch (not barrell) and it looks like it's resolved the issue. yey!! Thankfully as anything else ie FPR, Injectors, head gasket etc etc could have been an expensive and inconclusive result. Will look into sorting VAG COM for the car for future issues (although the scan wouldnt show up as "screwed up ignition switch" lol

lol, whole kilo. You make it sound like thats a huge amount. Hiding all that hard work and money is a bit silly really. I'm still toying with the options though anyway

Ye, its very cool weight wise. But still not sure about having CF on show. I may pass it on as seems a shame to paint over it. The fibre glass versions will be similar weight wise but wont matter if its painted. ---------- Post added at 10:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:58 PM ---------- Cheers Mic The r32 measures the oil temp through the sump normally (i think), mine isn't hooked up yet but I was going to tap into the oil filter housing for short term, then get round to measuring like OE. why doo you ask?

managed to get mine sorted too, so will be there still. Will look out for you Phil

Let me see if I can get the rears first.

Damn it. No good to me then, but ill keep you in mind if I cant find any better ones. Thanks any way.

What time you planning on going to Santa Pod this weekend? I may follow you down. -
not a bad idea! well, got the new switch and only took 5mins to remove the old one and fit the new one. Instant fix...yipeee!!

Went through a bit of an issue problem solving the latest problem. My car would intermittently not start even if cranked several (and many) times even with full battery and while on jump leads! Started to think it was a dead engine but I think it may just be a faulty ignition switch. Am currently driving round by bypassing the switch, effectively hot wiring it. All seems perfectly fine now so will order a new switch. phew! Trying to get ready for GTi springfest but not finding the time to get the car up to standard, the winter season has messed up allot of my work from last summer :-(
-
have you had any dash bits out? Putting back together sometimes causes the wires to get trapped or caught. Not sure what else otherwise, maybe someone will come along with a better suggestion
-
sorry, been busy for a while. Kempy, Im still interested. Did you get a quote for delivery? As long as all are undamaged, Ill take them

not sure if the key needs to be in the barrel, but I would have thought if you have a new switch you would be able to turn it with something like a screw driver. Try this http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?53573-bypassing-ignition-switch&highlight=switch+bypass, worked for me when I recently had similar issues that redborbet had.

yeah, ill try him Ive had a thought, maybe key barrel? Im jus going to go and hot wire my baby. see if that helps ---------- Post added at 07:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:12 PM ---------- Just tried bypassing the ign barrel and all seems ok. looks like this may have been the fault. Will now look into how to change the ign barrel. Any one know if the same key can be kept when changing the ign barrel?

looks like mine may not be able to make it, that is unless I can figure out why it wont start!!
