  1. that looks good mate :thumbleft: are you going to do a " how it`s done " type thingy, i`m sure there are a few tips you could pass on :reindeer:
  2. .......... along with such well worn comments as " your taking the food outta my kids mouth " ...... " do you actually mind if i make a living mate ? " and " i already got someone interested at the full asking mate "
  3. ..... errr ....i`ve changed my mind about having your old engine mate ...
  4. i`m sure you`ll be `mincing ` around :) for other stuff next, like the diff, 6 speed box etc etc
  5. yer just showing off now .......
  6.  nice looking lump you got there will ( oohh err )
  7. sounds tastefull enough Jim, , i`d take a few of your hands if you get them produced
  8. nice work Jim, what sort of size/s are you going for ?
  9. i know a lot of people have dissed these doors in the past but i like `em a lot :)
  10. i wouldnt have thought so Colley, apparently, there are shims available ( fits between the stub axle and the axle frame ) to try and correct alignment faults but if it`s well out then you may well have a `bent` axle, probaly due to kerbing, or maybe the axle has `sagged` somewhat but i would have thought that would have affected both sides if that was the case, how much out of alignment is it ?
  11. hello chrishill, looks like a marvellous piece of engineering :thumbleft: but i`m getting worried about you and veedub_g60, it appears you may be spending to much time on `chav` sites
  12. cheers kevHaywire, i`ll bear that in mind fella
  13. i`m just in the process of removing the dark cloth interior of my vr and installing heated grey leather seats , cards, carpet and dash ( last 2 from mr riley ), but to be honest, if i had found all black leather i would have gone for that, the grey leather was a total bargain so i went down that road instead
  14. you will need a puller to re fit the new bushes into the rear axle mr villie, there is a piece in the knowledge base ( on the nav bar ) about doing the rear bushes, i take it you have a valver or a g as you mentioned a cambelt in your original post, if the brake pipe that goes across the rear of the car from the bias valve to the offside caliper is rusty then it will be the best opportunity to replace it with the axle removed, on my vr i had the same brake pipe corroded but it runs underneath a heatshield, the exhaust has to be dropped and the heatsheild taken down just to fit one poxy pipe, welcome to the club fella
  15. excellent, give the calipers a quick pull apart and see what kind of condition there in, lubricate and put back, just out of interest, do you use the car regular and is it stored outside mate
  16. give the g-man a bell grimmy, he is the oracle of all things `G` his website is http://www.g-werks.co.uk/
  17. there is every chance that if the front calipers dont respond to a bit of cleaning and lubrication then they may well be fooked, i`d be tempted to do the things that cost time rather than money first, the rears will probaly be ok with the same sort of treatment, have you replaced the brake fluid recently ?
  18. hello Dub Style, i assume the handbrake cables are releasing properly, you may have a sticky cable on one side, you dont say how old the calipers are, have you replaced them recently ?
  19. .............. oh yeah, happy birthday 16v, hope you have a good one mate :thumbleft:
  20. at last, someone with taste and sense 8)
  21. quicker, cheaper and less ball aching to just buy a vr and sell your current c, unless your into giving yourself a hard time !!!!
  22. welcome to the forum Justonge, there is a wealth of info on all the corrado`s here at the forum, you can try the search on the navigation bar, i`m sure other members will be along soon to point you in the right direction, generally speaking, most of the corrado`s problems are usually of a mechanical nature which is to be expected on a car that is 10 + years old, rust isnt a particular problem due to the high level of rustproofing and decent quality metal used
  23. it a fecking shame you cant leave your car unattended these days without some feckwit thinking it would be fun to damage or interfere with it
  24. mmmmmm, i know they are a bit rare and for the same money you could buy a nice corrado, i quess it`s worth somewhere in the region of £1500 to £2000 dependant on condition, if you really want one then i would probaly be tempted with this one despite the higher price than i quoted as it is full vwsh and provided everything else was tip top then i`d probaly part with the cash
