looks like the anti roll bar linkage is missing, i wouldnt want to drive it about too much, looks like it`s interfering with the drive boot

ok, lift the bonnet ...( very patronising manner )....secure the bonnet stay, using a torch, just check the linkage arrangement attached to the gearbox, you will find it at the rear of the box, there is a linkage with little ball joints on it, just make sure that it is secured both ends and that nothing else seems detached. :thumbleft: :lol:

have you inspected the gear linkage on the gearbox mate, make sure nothing has fallen off

might be an idea to put a tywrap on the groove there as a temp repair ( or wrap a piece of wire around and twist it up )

the circlip should be located on the end of the shaft indicated with the arrow mate, looks like it`s missing, it may have broken or just jumped off

is it possible to use a pair of stillsons on the outside of the allen bolt head ?

any chance you could photo the gear mech under the gaitor

big difference from £70, i try to keep my corrado std when it comes to the mechanical bits but i detest being ripped off by vw ( who doesnt ), there are a few good breakers around here that usually come up with the goods at a real world price :thumbleft:
