    Bvf 2011

I think my first BVF year was 1997... Back then it was a really good show but i've noticed how much it's gone downhill over the last couple of years and after popping up on saturday we decided this year would be our last! Very disappointed with the lack of show cars that used to be scattered about all over the place and way too many stands selling complete and utter junk! So, where else do we go for the complete mix of air and water cooled? Nice to see a good Corrado line-up as usual!
  2. + 1 more for DG, Graham looks after my car, my girlfriend's car, my parent's cars, my brother's car, my sister's car and several friend's cars and none of us can fault his service and attention to detail. I'll stop now otherwise he'll need a higher ramp to fit his head under! :-)
  3. You don't happen to own shares in a company that manufactures fuses do you... ;-) I keep meaning to do this mod, as mods go it looks quite simple and more importantly beneficial to the longevity of my C!
  4. I'd have recommended the Ibiza, with our first baby on the way we've just upgraded to one and can't sing its praises enough, ok well, its not the Corrado, but it does have four doors... and is blue... and does 50mpg :-)
  5. and I thought I was special having the first ever V4 corrado before Graham worked his magic on it!
  6. I'm looking for a 125cc bike for my girlfriend's brother. He's just passed his CBT but is struggling to get hold of a 125cc bike for under £1000, anything that looks decent is selling before he even gets chance to pick up the phone! So, ideally what he's looking for is something along the lines of a Honda CB125, age is not that important but it does need to be in good working order with an MOT. Location ideally Midlands but if you or anyone you know is selling something that fits the bill, please let me know. Thanks, Waz
  7. Take it in to any hairdressers in Longbridge where you'll have expert advice from ex-rover employees that have now 'sucessfully' been re-trained!
  8. It hurt my eyes to read all those naughty words! Were they really necessary to describe a car?
  9. Green 'N' reg spotted filling up at the Cross Keys Shell garage in Hagley at about 6pm last night - looked nice - had you been visiting DG?
  10. Got mine yesterday. Thanks for all the hard work Alex!
  11. Beat me to it! :salute: (I'm one of them  )
  12. No snow on mine, like most good things it bypassed Birmingham (very wisely).
  13. I wrote my old 911 off as a result of hitting a patch of black ice on a roundabout and then going head-on into a lamp post. Now I have the ultimate respect for weather and am happy to watch people fly past me as I now crawl around said roundabout whenever the weather is a bit iffy! I'm not looking forward to this winter's offerings, we pick up our new Ibiza in a couple of weeks, not the best time of year to buy a new car...
  14. Storm on the 5ways roundabout this morning - shared a thumbs up
  15. Spotted a fellow ice grey yesterday morning on my commute into brum - heading out on the hagley road just before the traffic lights at the amber tavern. Sounded nice! For once I was in mine but didn't get chance to wave.
  16. My lupo wipers are both drivers side ones and work perfectly, been on over 3 years and i've just bought the first set of replacement blades. Highly recommend the DG uprated loom; it works as good as it looks!
  17. Nice buffing there Drew! Is the DBS in the first pic at the AM dealer in Hagley? My neighbour works there and is such a git bringing home half their stock every week! Jealous... me...
  18. I had a similar thing happen to me on a roundabout some time ago; i've been trying to get the car to do it again on the same roundabout ever since :norty: Seriously though, this one has a dip at the point i started sliding, it was a little damp and i'd just got the car back from having new suspension so I was getting a little over excited...
  19. I'm with you and my renewal has just gone up by 16% so regardless of the general trends for increasing premiums i'm still one unhappy customer! I'm afraid i shall be looking around for a better deal and only stopping with Chris Knott if they can offer me a much better renewal price. If a company can't offer a returning customer a competitive quote i'm afraid i have no reason to stay loyal to that company.
  20. I'll take 4 please. Does anyone know if these are the same for a mk2 golf? If they are I could do with another 2, but i'll hang fire for the moment until i'm sure. Ta.
  21. Oh yes.....at about 3:15 in . , Wazzas VR 12v in front just about pulling away from Mic in his 24v 2.8! OK so he catches him under braking and better cornering speed  Warricks car spec.... stock cams, 3 layer head gasket, CDA BMC, Magnex exhaust & DG Remap! Thats because i'm a right wuss when it comes to corners! :camp: After a couple of months running the DG remap I don't know how i drove the car beforehand, i mean i used to have to change gear when i wanted to accelerate, now i don't have to! The extra power at low to mid revs is quite noticeable and has made the car even more enjoyable to drive, and me a little more lazy... I had tried a cheapo remap before and had nothing but problems of stalling when coming to junctions and very little improvement in performance, and in fact the mpg decreased overall. I have to say that after each visit to DG i end up liking my car just that little bit more, it's by no means perfect, but they'll get it there!
  22. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.... :nono: It appears he's got some overheating issues and has attempted to remedy the problem in true chav fashion by drilling two holes in the bonnet!
  23. I'm a Structural Engineer. Am I the only one (stuctural engineer) with a life... I mean Corrado?
