good thought. but I have an airco pipe tight up against the positive side so no room for movement. hence the question about positive side to wire the switch into
-
Yup that something I was looking at.... but there is limited room on the negative terminal being the one nearest the wing and next to the PAS bottle... can you get battery terminal extensions to raise the switch up and point it in a different direction. might have to buy one to investigate
-
Maybe wrong forum section but it's seems to fit in with electrical stuff. Has anyone fitted a battery isolation switch... reason I ask is I've been reading the small print of my insurance and it states under fire it should have a battery isolation switch. Few questions how have you wired it ? I assume It should be on the negative side of the battery terminal.. is there any reason why it shouldn't be on the positive side as their is More room. I guess it would elevate having to carry a 10mm spanner for emergency shut off.

Other hobbies get in the way when the sun comes out.... boats and the seaside has a addiction every weekend. Have insured it previous years taxed and mot and used it once... I may have Change of heart in a few months.... when I see you cruising round the village, with the sunroof open :) How's the sunroof Saga coming on. Is the mk1 rs the one that was on display at the village fate last year.
-
Maybe... thanks for the tip.. is that agreed value.
-
Thanks Sean for the detailed reply.. just done mine through footman and James. Not read the small print yet but it seems similar. Fire and theft from garage, accidental damage, and insurance whilst on a trailer. It wasn't too far off your premium too. £124.50 with agreed value at 15k. Excess of £100. I was thinking originally of a classic car policy, but was told that I can't insure a car that is SORN and has no MOT on this policy.
-
Anyone else use a laidup policy as opposed to standard insurance... I've not used my car for a while as it's Been SORN for a few years and a laid up policy is handy. just wondering how much you pay...

Insured the corrado... sadly on a laidup policy again this year :( but you never know what will happen when the suns comes out... might get her a MOT. -

-
Respect to you keeping your cool.

That exhaust pipe has Seen more fumes through it than 3.5k. Love to know the reg and look at the mot history. It must tell a story.

I feel your pain... watching Ed china do the sunroof on the corrado on wheeler dealers has put me off playing with sunroof until their bust. You may find the episode on you tube. Not an expert on sunroofs sorry... Over to the wise forum.
-
Humm yes sunroofs.... never touch apart from the smudge of grease, until they break.... parts for the cassette are obsolete.
-
From memory it's just the 2 top screws on the slam panel.. And one deep down at the bottom of the headlight. Long screw driver... problem comes when this is rusty

Best of luck with your new toy. Sounds like it's gone to a good home.

Someone else for looking for one yesterday too http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?96473-Corrado-VR6-Grey-in-Colour&p=1126375#post1126375 :) double post

Oooooo the exclusive handshake club.... :)

I'm with you on this. Not sure if it's just for new cars registered. I know all cars will be 140 pounds. Unless you buy a new car over 40k and you get taxed big time initially... my mates having his car delivered end of march for this reason as the tax would be nearly 1k.

Dunno if the vw headlight plugs are still available... rayneautomotive have some individual plugs for sale on eBay, he has them on his 2 relay looms.
