Must of missed this one... new addition after the red Vr
-
Can't keep up with your collection of corrados easypops... this ain't the green storm it's got a 16v badge on the back and 4 pin discs. Looks tidy. Thought you only had 3 Vr' now.
-
Mmmm mk1 gti need to go there at some point. Nice choice for the golf r. Was tempted last year but went Audi instead. Best of luck with the gti. If it's turns out like either of the corrados it will be spot on.
-
Cheers Chris remember you mentioning it now. Will look into it. You bought anything to replace your corrado yet ?
-
Yes only used pristine before, but very expensive. If your feeling rich. New Speedline from Germany are 339 euros each. Just bought a spare set. Or if you like solitude rims which the golf and the corrado storm had you can get these for 90 Euro now. Search Classic vw part Germany http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de

Seriously considering taking the rear beam off now might make life easier and I get a nice powder coated beam and rubbers sorted.
-
Was thinking of it but wanted to keep every thing OEM as mines very low mileage only 40k. Easy enough to do carriers are the the same it's just the calliper and and flexi that's different you need goodridge or aftermarket flexi' as they are banjo fittings. loads of info on here how to do it. Wiki is as a good resource. I hardly ever put my handbrake on as the rear callipers which are actually mk1 golf are shocking. Vwspares or vw heritage or classic part Germany are good for spares.
-
Possibly something to do with auto box or brakes binding. If it's been standing 3 years the rear calipers if not mk4 golf would possibly be binding. Have you jacked the car up to see what wheels spin.
-
All sorted now thanks for input.

Yup always Keith garages. Always very helpful with rado bits over the years. And still now when I take a big list in... had my first corrado experience their in 1995 test drive of a white 16valve. My mate bought it didn't know him at the time. He pulled me over at the hen and chickens a few months later when I was in my 16v. Been mates ever since.

Cheers easypops what I was after. But with a better diagram can't really see the numbers on diagram.
-
Cheers Sean found a few links when I searched but most of the parts diagrams don't exist now. even thought of massbad old thread his grey v6 that he sold for the r32 he had a parts diagram for the assembly in his thread But that doesn't exist. I got the part numbers from cressas thread but I believe their is more parts. And the diagram I have is too small to read. May have to go to vw tomorrow.
-
Anyone got EKTA. and able to get a better parts diagram, not much detail in the Bentley manual. Cheers.
-
Cheers Sean yup just ordered the spring from heritage... I see tierod on eBay has the comp valve for 65 notes... it's ATE. Dunno what standard fit was. You got your storm birth certificate from vw yet ? Be interested to see what general detail it gives and to see if it's good value.

ok so just ordered spring and grommets from Heritage. just need the other bits. which I have a few question marks over unless anyone has a parts diagram. I have a small one but cant read much of it. possibly need. 893612363 very expensive sleeve x1 do I need 2 ??? 321612367 roller x1 do I need 2 ??? N01167026 washer x2 N102336 bolts x2 assume these are to attach to beam now I assume I need a nut and bolt to go through the spring any ideas of part numbers ???
-
Cheers.. vwspares list the spring but wanted to cross reference it for correct part.
-
Anyone have to hand the part numbers required to fit the brake compensator valve. Want to order spring grommet assembly and bolts. Am I mad attempting this without taking the beam off and just the use of a trolley jack.. I guess a grinder will be the main removal tool.. going to change rear brake lines while I'm at it.... Not looking forward to bleeding the brakes again with an easy bleed kit.. it was PITA. Last time.
-
Nice little project. Missed this one. Would love another one on the drive.

Thought all cars will be 140 pounds tax even if you have at present 10 pound tax.. If you buy a new car over 40k you get taxed very high initially.

Thought he had a British passport not from Korea.
