Thanks Anna two on order -
Thanks for all the replies.... these were 18 inch Audi rims.. cars only a few years old... regretting having them done now. Time to change car maybe.... Should of gone to Hemel or pristine.... rather than the local chap

anyone experience of powder coating old rims ???? Had some wheels powder coated locally.... I took it back as the powder coating cracked when the temperature dropped to 2 degrees over night. the guy admitted they hadn't been baked enough. HE did it again FOC. I changed the wheel after and the powder coat chipped very easily..... Had the wheel redone a few weeks ago.... just been to get some new tyres, and the tyre fitter has managed to chip the powder coating again..... not that pleased.... OEM powder coated wheels don't do this. the wheels were acid dipped, powder coated, baked and lacquered.

Done exactly that at lunch... put a steel rule over the mating surface that gasket sits on and tried to see light through the gap... all seems good here. It has a graze on the flat area by the sump bolton the outer skin assume it's not too thin material here. Thanks dox

Does the later gasket need sealant ?

yup my spelling mistake.... mines a weeee bent at the moment and leaking...… think I hit a hump back bridge at silly speed when I was young.... I've picked a second-hand one up which is a vw OEM part.... just not too sure how good the part is and where its been.... it looks straight and the thread looks okay.... just don't want to do the job twice if I can buy a quality part.... don't think VW stock them these day...… saying that does a ford VR6 pan fit ?
-
Any body recommend a torpan sump pan ???? are they any good, do they have a decent material thickness…. looking to change my sump gasket and thinking of changing the pan at the same time.... Any other recommendations...

sunroof arms would be good.... made out of decent metal not monkey stuff like the door handles

Didn't know why I wanted one at the time... I do now :) The corrado font is pressed out like it would be on the car....also the detail of the car like the wings bumpers, wing mirror are slightly raised too... cool. What's the forum discount on the roof trim? Thanks
