delfinis38 replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Must of been that bonnet foam:) what happend about the flashing abs thought you had a problem -
Yup one of the reasons that prompted me to post.... Seen it a few times this year last time at Bournmouth air show.

No timings yet.. But Saturday afternoon it's doing a circuit in the north Sunday afternoon a circuit in the south... Does it fly by you... May try and catch it either in Oxford or Dover. http://www.vulcantothesky.org/news/710/82/Latest-on-National-Tour.html

Comformation needed on rear VR6 badge please.
delfinis38 replied to robrado974's topic in General Car Chat
Sorry to throw spanner in the works... But my orig rear vr badge and I also have a good rear 16v badge is brushed like the corrado script and front vr6 badge. The only chrome effect badges are the veedub ones. -
Agree asking for trouble.

Don't buy a cheap sensor... I'd go pagid or dealer.
-
Yup loom attached.. If dekerf1996 looked at the technical bit it states quantity 1 not 2 Ie.. a pair
-
I was looking at eurocar parts yesterday at abs sensors... I read it differently to you. they don't sell as a pair. But left and right are the same part number. So you have to buy 2 if you want a set for the rear. Anyway I'm not interested in a purchase, but just interested as mr China said they were only a few quid each...

Look cracking Chris.. Was it you driving.
-
That's cheap :) red or brushed chrome.

It is a bit of a worry, not so much how much it would cost to buy, but if you could find one to replace it in similar condition.
-
Thanks for the advice so far... 4 series is a great car, big corrado really. Was hoping the other half would drive it but it's too big she says. lovely engine and gearbox, only complaint is it's not practical for what I use it for. 2 big doors, so car parks are a pain for opening doors and the boot aperture is too small to get anything in initially but the space is huge. Taking passengers in the rear I get complaints... Im buying one of those sporty golf thingies.

I have three months to sell private or I will be trading in at a silly price... It's a 14 plate BMW 420i coupe. VW have offered 20k for it was hoping for a bit more. Was thinking pistonheads... Anybody had experience of webuyanycar ? Any other alternatives.

There quite rare, obsolete from dealers long time ago. Most will be hanging on to them if mint / new and not for sale. Good luck with your search. You could always spray it black.. Have you asked vwheritage.

he needs a 357 853 601 or a 357 853 601B according to my stash of badges. so my link is wrong.
-
the 601 part of the part number rings a bell... the golf of the same age fits but has a slight angle to it... use the search on here and all will be revealed.
-
rear veedub badge here... but check part number..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-New-Genuine-VW-Boot-Badge-Golf-Scirocco-Corrado-Jetta-Passat-Polo-Rally-/151100141762?hash=item232e4530c2

most likely sensor..... do as edd did put a volt metre across the terminals.... but don't measure the voltage like they did on the telly but resistance.... the lowest reading should be the dodgy one.
-
if you have a local independent they shouldn't try and sell you something you don't need..... sight tests a pretty standard.... I normally go to who ever is cheap... but a high street name. lots do free sight tests to get you in. I have a free one with vision express this week, got a voucher off their webpage last week valid for this month.... Tesco do cheap eye tests. if you sit in front of a pc all day your employer should help you out / pay its not the sight test I have problems with its the sales people afterwards.... trying to keep their sales figures up for the month.... always ask for your prescription if you need one.... most keep hold of them, so you have to buy glasses from them. martin lewis moneysaving expert gives good advice for buying specs and sight tests.

think we need a report to admin button.... for those who are negative and bring the prices down :) jims going to be busy.
