I've got every receipt from purchase date, old tax discs and tax reminder letters.... I also started a log about 10 years ago but its not as well presented as the two chris's storm. must get round to sorted something out over the winter months.

do you keep your own service record for you car ??? I don't mean the VW FSH record book and stamp you get from the garage.... but a personal one.... ie.... bought new brake pipes and fitted.... pumped tyres up..... changed X,Y Z... am I the only one that does this ?

I sacked my cleaner after it happend to me.... I never see my models anymore as they are covered up with a tea towel.. Saves dusting them... Just wash the tea towel.

Dave any chance of checking availability on a door mirror switch for a late vr.... think they were also used on a T4 Vans well part number 535 959 565... wanna check availability before I take my old one apart and destroy it :)

Was wondering if this off a 16v was the same length silencer and diameter. Sounds about right.... I have a pattern walker as a spare.. But really want an orig... My mate said he would make me one in stainless, when he's not mega busy... He builds exhaust for motor sport industry. Like all these things should of bought one a few years ago.... I managed to buy the rest of the exhaust for silly money. Could of bought nearly two stainless systems for what I paid for it. Wondering if the 16v one is the same... I know it's longer. But could cut the ends pipes down. I have access to a hydraulic exhaust end former. Maybe some one with a 16 v one could measure the silencer, the overall length. And pipe diameter.

Wear a pair or 2 of gloves... And don't tread in the glue and walk in the house... Be careful with the new stuff it's super sticky once down it won't come off.
