That is insane!! :salute:

Do you mean the nut or the ball joint in the track rod end?

Big feckin club hammer always works for me :dorky:

Do you have any back to back plots? Not argueing just always thought the top end gains out weighed the bottom end torque loss having always frequented the clubgti site. Like so many of these mods a few peoples opinions seem to turn into gospel without any real proof! I always had the 50mm inlet on my mk2 so cant compare but didnt look twice at the pile of 42mm mani's in the garage!

I started out with the 1.8 kr block in my mk2 but ended up swapping in the 9a block with kr fuelling, twin inlet cams and raised rev limiter. With a few breathing mods it was good for 170 bhp and a nice increase in torque over the 1.8. As Davidwort said you sacrifice a little power for a little torque, mixing and matching the parts gives good gains.

Isnt it something to do with the Cat and having a different injection system? The 2.0 is a better base to tune from though.

If your lucky it just needs stripping down and re-assembling correctly like mine. Washer could have sheared though...

Any idea of a good rebuild company? Googled it but nothing immediately obvious, searching ap only brings up uk suppliers...

The last couple of days i've noticed the rear of the car has become less dampened and the ride is noticeable crashier as the rear travels over bumps. Putting weight on the rear supports this as there's little resistance to up and down movement. I have ap racing coilovers fitted, can i send them away to get refilled and repaired and is there any sort of warranty? (these were bought second hand off the forum so i dont have any paperwork  ) I have a feeling the responses will involve 'you get what you pay for!' :(

I took my mk2 golf there to have the boot and bonnet resprayed for a similar price and was happy with the work, having had previous experience with diy paint jobs i'm trying to steer clear of the temptation to pick up a good condition panel and respray it myself.... I've had another friend take his 200sx which had damage on the swage line there and he had to keep taking it back to them as you could see ripples and imperfections. Basically i want the job done as well as possible within a reasonable budget and am worried he's not going to get good enough results from repairing the damaged panel, am i wrong?

Cheers, as per tandino's for sale thread; http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y76/ta ... 010258.jpg

As per my previous posts, my handbrake recently failed sending my car into a row of trees.... :censored: Anyhow, i got round to the body shop yesterday and was given a quote of £350 to repair the wing and bonnet. My other option was sourcing a replacement front wing but according to the body shop guy this would cost more in paint and the time involved in fading it into the door. There is previous damage on the arch from where i was driven into as well. Does this seem like a reasonable price and is the bodyshop likely to be able to completely fix all signs of damage?!

Hey everyone, just bought a 16 row mocal cooler from another member but need a fitting kit. Where abouts have people mounted their's, what with, and with what length of piping? Seen some good looking braided lines on ebay but they come in a variety of lengths; http://shop.ebay.co.uk/i.html?_nkw=moca ... m270.l1313 Planning on picking up a thermostatic sandwich plate as well.

Im in Kent mate, the cable fits the audi and the interface recognises it and begins to scan but i get a pop up blocking the scan saying i need to upgrade :(
-
I just tried reading the fault codes of my mates S4 (B7 model) but during the scan it popped up saying i needed to upgrade my software. Is there a (free)version available that will read and clear codes for this car?

Any ideas for a cheaper alternative then?

At the moment im trying to source a replacement drivers wing and bonnet in LC9Z Black magic. I was debating getting a bonnet bra to cover the dent until i either find a new bonnet or can afford to get this one fixed, what are peoples thoughts on the brassiers? -

Updates; Have fitted the coilovers and a set of 288 front brakes with drilled discs; Greasing and taping up the threads; Also treated the car to some quality engine and gearbox oil, Millers CFS 10W50 and Redline MT90. Also fitted a set of ebay XENON H4 headlights, smoked side repeaters and relocated the carbon canister to get a nice cold air feed to the airbox (forgot to photograph it :? ) My girlfriend bought me an Autoglym clay bar kit so i put her and my sister onto it ! Unfortunately by the time we'd finished clay baring, polishing and sealing it, it got dark.. :( I was determined to get some pics so sorry they're so dark! Then the accident....as previously posted my handbrake failed while it was parked at work and it rolled about a metre into a hedge.. :censored: The front driver wing took most of the damage but the bonnet was also dented; -

Still having this problem, i had the engine earth off the car and tested resistance and it read 0.1 ohms from end to end and at the middle... Any other ideas? -
288 brake conversion, mt-90 gearbox oil change, replaced headlights for some nice H4 ebay ones, replaced engine to battery earth
