How about a full model/colour poll [Attention Corrado Nerds]
harryc replied to v8rumbler's topic in General Car Chat
Cant see LC9Z Black magic pearl on there? -
Its not doing any harm, gives extra peace of mind and a motorsport look ! Great Idea! Project is looking awesome! :salute:
-
How do they compare price wise, £349 for the DG vs what for the Sp263's?
-
Sounds good, if the results are good i'll be getting a set otherwise it will be a set of sp263's.
-
Got the same set in mine, recaro badges look a bit dull on those.. Cant belive what they go for!
-
Just as a reference for anyone else it ended up costing me £91 for diagnostic, sensor and labour. I could have saved a third if id managed to identify which sensor was playing up using vagcom but left my cable in kent :brickwall: The new sensor has greatly improved the problem although it still sometimes needs the second turn of the key to fire when hot. Hoping a new ignition switch should solve this!
-
could have been me but my spoiler works!?
-
French and italian cars on cowley, only as thats where i live so picking up the car is easy. Been quoted 44 quid for diagnosis to determine which sensor then about 65 for parts and labour.
-
Will this let me know which of the 3 temp sensors is faulty? I've booked it into a garage up here in Ox as i dont have access to my tools, workspace or VAG.com and they said they need more time to figure out which sensor is faulty. They also said VW gave 14 options for the sensor so they would need slighlt longer to identify which one is needed?
-
Does it involve building and improving the design or just designing and modelling?
-
Might want to look into a matching set of shocks as well. Aftermarket lowering springs will likely not have the same spring rate as the stock springs and you ll probably end up with an under dampened ride and a short damper life.
-
Yeah my mates call it a corolla because they know it winds me up!
-
You should have pushed his ladder over
-
Check the spring rates if u can. Mk2 springs on a vr6 corrados could cause you problems with too lower ride height, rubbing etc
-
Alright there! Mines the one with the big dent, some c@nt drove into me the other day when I was parked up off cowley, living on jeune street now so yeah that's me as well! Would be up for a mini meet!
-
Ive had it plugged in to my vag com and it didn't throw anything up, not sure if I trust it though. It would show up on the general scan right?
-
I just let my girlfriends dad call it 'the scirocco' now....

My hot start problem is getting worse and worse. It's taking longer and longer to start now after it's been driven. I ve replaced the engine earth and fuel pump relay but it's made no difference. The issue I have is the fuel pump not priming and hence it not starting and just turning over and over. I have a new ignition switch which I'm waiting to fit but I'm trying to think of what else it would be. Would a flat key battery stop the fuel pump priming due to immobiliser issues? I know exactly when the cars going to start and when it's not because I can hear the pump prime. Whenever the car is driven and left for a couple of minutes it will not prime/start for about half an hour, it's getting ridiculous! Car is a 95 vr6 (coilpack) with original scorpion alarm.

What are you lowering it on? Coilivers give you the flexibility of being able to go lower or higher until your happy with the height.
-
^ that's me! Nice talking to you, good luck finding a nice rado mate. I spotted a White rado this afternoon in the m and s car park next to brooklands weybridge about 10 minutes later!
-
Thats me! What were you in, I spotted another rado at Wheatley campus earlier today.

Relocate the carbon canister to behind the cross member and drill a hole in the space where it used to be through the airbox. Gives a nice cold air feed from inside the wing away from the heat of the engine bay...
-
Yeah not a bad idea, i've insulated all the terminal with heat shrink including the relay pins, going to build a small container to house the relays as well. Are people running wires from the trelays to the existing wires on the back of the headlight plug or using thicker wire and connecting to the bulbs directly?
-
Have people running a 4 relay system bunched all the relays in one spot and ran wire to feed the bulbs or split the relays to be behing each light and run a longer power feed? Im thinking a longer power feed will be best to save on running a longer signal wire from the headlight as well as a 12v feed.... Also has anyone replaced the small sidelight bulb with an LED?
-
Think im right in thinking the wiring for main beam sends 12v to both the dipped and main bulb, where as dipped only sends a 12v to the dipped beam bulb. The 3rd wire should send a feed to the sidelight bulb and the 4th being an earth. I've just finished making my loom and started fitting it tonight so let me know if you need any help...got a few questions myself actually!
