Thanks for the comments, think im going to go with the behind the grill option to give it some good flow. The oil cooler seems alot smaller compared to what a lot of you guys are running. Will a 115mm cooler provide sufficient cooling? (Saw 116 degrees the other day sitting on the motorway with my new oil). I spose as its not a tracked car this should be fine with decent air flow, what do you guys think?

If you gun it with a pressure washer water will get in the dizzy! Pressure washers arent good on engine bays, my mate just shagged 4 of his coils on his s4...

Where did you get the wind deflectors and how much?
-
If it is a dizzy, take the cap off, dry the inside of the cap, rotar arm and apply some wd40. Do the same on the ht lead connections to the dizzy and onto the spark plugs. Use carrier bags and cling film next time..

Wow car looks amazing!!

Everyone seems to rave about the fixed height column, id be interested to see what one feels like to compare with my vr. Was the steering noticeably/dangerous vague before? Cant complain about my steering but then again if its what im used to i probably wouldnt know any better! Nice progress BTW

Looked around the Audi dealership last week and the orange peel finish on almost every car was a joke. If I'd paid for bodywork and received a similar finish I'd ask for my money back. As already mentioned most people wouldn't notice and so manufactures get away with quick poor quality paint jobs...

It means there's too much fuel in the mixture being burnt and as a result unburnt fuel is being thrown out of the exhaust. Maybe a problem with fuel pressure or timing, how did you know it's running rich?

Will probably need a more detailed description of the problems for people to help as its a bit vague at the moment...If it was me i'd check for spark and that the fuelling was ok then go from there.

Cheers guys, clay bar is definately worth it. Its amazing how much crud it pulls off the paint and the finish is incredibley shiny and smooth  -
I had a thermostatic sandwhich plate on my mk2, is it worth going with this again ? Costs £20 more on the 35 pound sale price. Also is the alloy cap necessary which is mentioned in the auction? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VENTO-PASSAT-BORA ... arParts_SM

Forgot to mention before the beautiful black cloth recaros; Looking to swap for something else at the moment, what do you guys reckon, something black and leather? -
It would be interesting to see a back to back comparison of KR cams Vs ABF cams. I reckon the difference would be negligable (if we re talking twin exhaust kr cams), maybe a slight improvement over stock kr cams?

Some very good info on comparisons here; http://clubgti.co.uk/forum/showthread.p ... r+abf+cams

Mega squirt might be an idea if the standard management hasn't got much room for adjustment.
-
Some 260 duration would be good for midrange along with a 42mm inlet mani. Are you running standard management? Thought about ITB's?
-
Interesting, guess i'll stick my 42mm up for sale then!
