Buying one now then! how much did you pay including the boss, gonna have a hunt around!
-
Love the steering wheel, very subtle, what model is it?
-
Yeah i've thought about going down the cheap route with coilovers but i cant see the point. Almost everyone complains about them and then just spends more time and even more money finding something to replace them with (which almost always turns out to be kw v1's!)
-
guessing he just bought a set??
-
Where's a good place to get hold of the Koni's? Seems like a good option til i can afford KW V1's
-
Wow love that pic on the previous page. Stance looks perfect, nice and aggressive but not too low!
-
Just got my obd2 cable and been having a go today. Im on cowley, Oxford if thats any good to you?
-
Koni dump adjustable. There are eibach springs as fas as I can remember, some sort of standard high or max -20mm Nice one, do you have a link for the dampers or any idea how much they cost? Sorry for the thread hi jack but after owning cheap coilivers I've come to the conclusion your better off spending the money on a decent shock and spring setup and sacrifice height adjustment. Had adjustable Koni shocks on an old civic and they were incredible!

Turned off cowley road in Oxford and saw a green Storm, I waved over enthusiastically and got a small gesture back. Perhaps he s not aware of the 'wave at them like your arms on fire til you get there attention' signal corrado owners give each other....
-
Koni adjustables? What springs are you using?
-
Id be interested to know as well, what suspension are you on?

Yeah thats what i was prepared to pay for it but ended up taking away the other one, nice car what are your plans? -
Only specialist tool is the top mount allen key and nut removal tool. Got a homemade one at home, there s a special vw tool number for it but dont know what it is, failing that an impact gun normally does the trick! Apart from that ratchet and spanner set, jack, axle stand?

Im in Cowley Oxford but my tools are in kent... don't suppose thats much use unless you've got tools?
-
OMG that head is a joke!! I've never seen anything like that, must have been no compression in 1 and 2 ?!?? Did it even run?

try using a jump lead from the negative terminal of the starter to a good earth point. If it starts fine you know its the starter earth if not check the solenoid and see if the starter is getting a voltage when turning over.
-
Is the problem it not turning over at all or it turning over and not starting? I know a sticking solenoid can cause the starter motor not to disengage once the engine has started. I would check the starter earth first make sure its clean and theres a good connection.
-
Is it just a case of fitting 288mm discs and corresponding pads then? Anyone recommend some decent drilled vented discs?

I viewed this but ended up buying his other mint black vr he had for sale which i fell in love with! I know its had a new radiator as i asked him to swap the old leaky one before i viewed it. Interiors in great condition. -
Haha thanks for the coments guys, si where's your bodyshop out of interest? Bad luck just keep getting worse! just started getting hot start porblems :mad2: Done a lot of searching on the problem so will hopefully sort it out... Torn an ankle ligament playing rugby yesterday so cant drive for a while, only good point is not driving it makes me forget about all the problems with the car!....
-
P.S. Rant over....
-
Took it to the local body shop today and was quoted £200 plus VAT  He said i could get dent devils around to do it but as its on the swage(sp) line it wouldn't remove the dent completely and damage would still be noticeable...grrr! To add insult to injury i went over a pot hole/asteroid crater which was hidden in the shade under a bridge and smashed the suspension really hard. I reported it the local council and after taking the car to quickfit i got a chance to look under it and it appears the front wishbone is slightly bent :brickwall: On top of this the pot hole dented the rim and it now has a slow puncture.... Not having alot of luck with the car since i've had it and its really pissing me off as i dont have the money to be fixing it all at the moment!!

Do these work well alongside alarms or are you just better off getting an alarm which does everything?
