FYI, after looking in the "user guide" this light is for water level as well as water temperature

Dont the halfords ones just stick over the top of the old one??
-
Usefull to know, now have 2 reasons why the blower will only work on 4! This one and the thermal resistor problem
-

What about the carbrettor? are the butterflies moving freely? might be worth a squirt of cleaner regardless
-
I agree, get a new VAG one as GSF ones dont last
-
LOL, how about that Supercharged you were right :D Can't imagine how you came to that conclusion! All fixed now, just need to see if i can get some sort of replacement for it as i'm not sure how long it will stay fixed

Yeah the pump on my 2.0 16v is noisy as well, but i've been told not to worryt about it. When it struggles to start does the starter motor snarl up and go very slow, thus indicating a duff battery? Or does it start fine but splutter through the cylinders? If so the best place to start would be to check the HT leads, spark plugs and the 5th injector, located at the end of the fuel rail sticking into the sideish of the engine

Hi all Had a great start to the week this morning when i got into my car to drive off to work, inserted the fob into the immobiliser slot and nothing happened. Went and got my spare fob and got the same problem. The LED immobilser light might be flashing faster than normal as well, but then again that might just be me. Does anyone have any experiance of Meta imob's? If not, does anyone have any idea how the hell i'm supposed to get the bloody thing started?? Cheers

Just looked in the ole corrado user guide as the water light has come on another couple of time while sitting in traffic and it says it's for level and temperature Didn't make the car feel odd though, the previous must have been another strange oddity Going to change the switch on the rad fan as well as the ECU coolant temp sender, anyone got an idea of how much these are?? Cheers

wont be a problem mine's a '95, they're all the same. Really is a 10 min job as the fan just simply twists and drops out, then disconnect.

hehe, i knew it would be a race

I often work on the basis that if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is

Looks cheap and feeble to me, also its only got one relay! Not safe in that respect and probably quite likely to plunge you into darkeness whilst driving some little windey country road
-
Easy peasy job, thermal resistor from maplins. Drop out the blower unit in the passenger footwell. Unclup the pack from the side solder in the new resister. Pay close attention to the contact points and the direction of the old one.

Regardless of which way round its parked? is there some sort of non return valve?
-
Just trying to remember so probably not exact... stage 1 90* - 95* stage 2 110* + & faster than stage 1
-
perhaps they want to pretend their a motorbike that can actually go fast, rather than some crappy 1.0 nova

isn't it a legal reqirement to have 2 lights on a car? If the poolice pull them over then it should be a £60 on the spot fine, £30 for each light
