  1. 180k on the clock, rust bubbles dotted about. does have fk coilovers though, i'll get it sorted after this weekend then get some pics up
  2. Most of them do, he's about the only one that has old VW's, although he has a mk4 now, but he's had mk1/mk2's in the past. The silver one is a valver, it'll be for sale within a few months.
  3. ah ha  I wondered how long it would be for someone to spot that. I bought if from someone at work to basically steal some bits off, ive had things like the spoiler motor, some interior panels, the exhaust system, few engines bits, front splitter etc etc. So unfortunately when im finished it wont be in the best condition of its life, BUT it is a silver, non sunroof J reg
  4. Now with new exhaust fitted, and my interior cleaned: The interior is red, for some reason things come out pinkish on my phone, like my car for example, its a deep red gloss but looks pink, hmmm
  5. A DC5 is one of a small list of cars that i would sell my C for. I only have a 1.8 16V, but its my pride and joy. And is it wrong that 80% of my list is Jap :cuckoo:
  6. Anyone had any experience with these? Ive loved the look of the DC5's for a while now, and the engines are insane: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnKKrNhNoVc
  7. I tried to gets some before pics, but the oxidation didnt come out very well on camera, but here are the after pics (still needs waxing tomorrow) viewtopic.php?f=11&t=71603
  8. Pictures below are after a mammoth clean using gold class shampoo, clay bar treatment, stage 1 paint cleaner, super resin polish, gloss protection. Going to wax it tomorrow after work.
  9. Well i went out and bought over £60 worth of cleaning gear yesterday. Got football today and inevitable hangover tomorrow, so i think i'll get started on Monday, weather permitting
  10. I think its mainly lucky of the draw to be honest, some people's are constantly breaking down, some people have years and years of trouble free motoring. I'd suggest buying one from a well respected member on here, making sure its well looked after
  11. I actually like the EOS and after seeing some pictures of some at worthersee i think they have alot of potential. The fate of the Scirocco is still undecided i think.
  12. I had this debate with myself earlier in the year when my rado was constantly giving me problems, i was tempted to sell up and buy an Ibiza cupra, but here i am 6 months later with the same corrado, sooooo happy i didnt sell, because lets face it, i would of had the cupra for a few months and would have then found myself back in yet another corrado. I guess it depends what you use it for too, mines my daily driver
  13. They're definately a marmite wheel choice i'll say that! Im hoping to get some rolling shots on the way to E38, so will be interesting to see what they look like on the move. In the pics the suspension has only been roughly set, i dont have a flat drive so its difficult. However, tomorrow morning my neighbour is going out so i'm using their flat drive to set the height correctly, the front will be dropped down too i reckon. Also, those pics are before laser alignment, the wheels literally went on a few days ago and the car hasn't been anywhere since. On tues/weds night it'll be going for some tracking work, so that should sort everything out, hopefully. Also, with these wheels no one has the excuse of not recognising my car when its out and about
  14. Wheels now all on: The fronts fit a treat: The wheels are 16x8 all round with an offset of 35, taken down to 15 with the 20mm 4x100 to 5x100 FK adapters, with 195/40 Pirelli P Zero Nero's. More lowerage need though me thinks
  15. I use Hertz 6.5" components in mine, awesome quality, defo get some!
  16. My dad has a W reg Accord, 1.8 Vtec Sport SE, try finding many of those!! Its been an amazing reliable car. Been through 3 MOT's with use, flew through 2 and needed a £15 suspension bit for another, no faults at all, solid.
  17. It'll be getting a bloody good clean this weekend! 5hrs sat+sun, so should be looking mint! So once that is finished i'll be getting some pics up. Very happy with the fronts though :luvlove:
  18. Dammit, everyone bums the rado and forgets about the poor old valvers. Does make me want a VR though
  19. Well the tires went on the wheels today, sadly onto the front wheels have gone on as when i opened the second box of FK adapters there were no long bolts, so i got two bolts for 4 adapters :censored: So now the fronts are on and the rears aren't, push bike again tomorrow! Will be ringing Venom first thing to get the bolts sent asap. Also, these wheels stick out a wee bit further than my previous ones, so they really show off the knackered tracking  , that'll be sorted at the weekend
  20. I prefer the visuals of the leon, but for build and ride quality you'd probably be better off with the skoda
  21. It was probably him i bought them off, i bought them Dec 2006
  22. Putting these on: Rears are done, fronts will be done by tomorrow. Cleaned the arches too: This: To this: Next stage........
  23. I'll bag some pics tomorrow night if i have time, might not come out good on cam, but will give it a go I was on top of it for a while, then it broke (surprisingly) and was taken off the road, and it all went pear shaped again
  24. Awesome. Think i need to start tarting up my interior next, starting to feel its age now
