Does this mean they'll put a stop to the 'cost cutting' exercises that VW have mentioned with the mk6 golf? If they go down that road we'd may as well buy Renaults! Although they're surprisingly well put together and reliable these days

I've been browsing around the net this evening in an attempt to get some ideas, and i came across this. Now i understand that its not a Corrado, but come on, it looks rude as!!

There is a graphite grey one knocking around Melbourne/Derby, looks and sounds simply amazing! I also think that Audi are currently one of the most clever, and innovative, car manufacturers in the world. The new A5 is stunning, the new TT runs ring around the last model, and now the R8. Suddenly owning an Audi is right up there with owning a BMW/Merc, if not better, owning a BMW/Merc makes it look too obvious that you're trying to make a point about your 'status'

I'll get some pictures up either this week or at the weekend of the paintwork. Its not just the cost, its also the constant care that is needed with red cars, and the constant worry of scratching the paint etc, but i'll get some pics up for some opinions

It wont be rat look at all. I want a very even and smooth finish, unstated almost (altho i know thats hard with matt black). Im just gettin tired of having to try soooo hard to keep it looking even half decent. But it wont be rat, honestly. Can you get matt white? Or would that just look pants?

Can really only blame himself for the mistakes during the first few corners. However, his 'engine problems' seemed strange. Bernie didnt want him to win, so dont you think thats strange

I've owned a matt black car in the past, it was a series 1 mk3 escort, looked the dogs dangles to be fair. Im just sick of the paintwork on the car. I could never justify £2k on painting a daily valver, so i just think that matt black would not only be something different, but it would be easy to manage and would make me feel happier and the exterior

I have a tornado red valver. The bonnet has two dodgy bits of paint on, and loads of deep scratched due to rubbish mechanics. The bumpers have paint missing. There is a 4" square patch of paint that just fell off my side skirt. Its hard a partial respray at some point, and its becoming obvious where the paint match is. I have scratches all over the place, and the roof is pink. Now, ive considered spraying it Matt black, as i can get this done for a few hundred quid. What are your opinions on this? Good idea? Or just a get out for people that dont wanna pay £2k on a respray and cant be arsed with cleaning it every week?

40mpg out of my valver, never seen it before 35 before to be honest! Although that was going at 50mph on the m/way due to roadworks

The '£400 a month' was quoted by one of the contractors i work with, he ended up with an Audi A3 instead. I'll ask him about it next time he is in on Tuesday though

Audi A5 3.0L TDI Quattro. Granted they're £35k+ for a decent spec one, BUT you can get them on 2yr lease contracts for around £400 a month. Sounds like alot, but it would be brand new. So no repairs, no MOT, no niggling problems to solve, nothing. Infact, i plan to own one within the next 3-4yrs.

Meh, we all do things we're not supposed to do from time to time. How many people actually 'work' for their entire day? How many people follow the rules to the letter? How many people have never cut a corner? I mean ok they're police officers, but they are also blokes too, we all fook about, its built into us

Im not sure i could use my Corrado as a 2nd car, im pretty sure it would never get used, and would inevitably get sold

I drove it to work today and it seemed ok again. Seems to only be at high speeds. Im off to see the missus at Hull at the weekend (180 mile round trip), so i think i need to get it looked at!

Be a rebel and turbo a KR lump. Bahn Brenner sell full conversion kits, they come in at around £2k. 280bhp is easily achievable so im led to believe, although that maybe completely incorrect as i havent properly looked into things

Midland VW. The piston rings gave way at 121k, smoke everywhere so had no choice. Had the following done for £1000 all in. Rehoned bores and new piston rings New conrod bearings New gaskets New valve guides and seals Head overhaul Decoked cylinderhead Internals cleaned and checked New oil and filter Took it back after 1000 miles for a check over too, had the oil replaced and everything checked etc.

I hate to think how uneconomical buying my car was. It cost me £1800, i spent £450 on the MOT repairs, £250 on the braking system, £1000 on the engine rebuild, and now it needs a new front wing. and after all that effort its cosmetically worse than on the day of purchase, and is probably worth £1000 at a push. Good news is its given me a reason not to sell! :D

I think th W12 is excellent, considering it was built in 8 weeks. Let VW spend 6-12months going over it, then see how it handles!

It would seem the only C's to be holding their price at the moment is the G60. Good news for anyone really. Cheap for buyers, and too cheap to bother selling so it convinces you to hold onto them :D

Ok, driving back from wales yesterday, lost all pressure in the brake pedal. I had to press the pedal down to the very bottom for anything to happen. If i pumped the brakes the pressure would come back slightly. Then say 20mins later, the pressure would be back to normal. Been told its likely to be a leak in the brake lines, is this true?

I always remember my dreams, and i hate it! I remember a simpler time when i would crash into bed, then wake up 7hrs later with no memory of the time in between, thats what i want back! Last night i had a well dodgy dream, the type where you cant tell if you're awake or not. And i have a dream catcher too, maybe its effect has ran out?
