Technically then is an estate car a hatchback? :?
-
Did it come with a free paper bag? Is it not a 'Saloon shaped Hatchback' ? :?

Hello Judith, It took a run round a few of the local stores but managed to get some from Halfords, £6.99. Was a bit worried that it came out like green snot, but worked a treat. Jay

Finally managed to get some of the Mer Bumper & Trim Gel and all I can say is wow. Worked a treat without too much elbow grease. Really impressed with the way its brought all my black trim back to black, even the roof strips which were covered in old white polish marks. Cheers for the tip. :D

"on the topic of corsa's saw this on here not sure if u lot had but! the torque steer on it must be insane! http://media.putfile.com/corsa-version- ... -making-of" Tried my best to keep calm, but after 60 seconds of R&B sh*te I can't take it anymore. Does it all work out all right at the end, do they get married and have wonderfull children together.......?

Don't panic mate, as above, they have very high standards and the list is to get your car near to showroom condition. If your list is no more than two sides of A4 then you've got a good one. :) There bill was just as thorough as the fault list, even listed emery paper at 40p that they had used?!

Just thought I'd pass this on for anyone too tight to pay £40 for any Xbox game, ie. me. Forza 2 is at the moment £29.99 with free delivery at PLAY.com, rather than the £39.99 last week. Hope this is usefull. Cheers.

Feel this could lead to a new Topic = "Why are all BMW drivers (with four wheels) w*nkers?'

Can anyone recomend a cleaning product that will turn my black exterior trim back to black? The years of white polish streaks have turned my roofstrips and aerial a nast grey colour, is there anything that will clean off the old polish? Had a look through Halfords and everything is to keep it black or just some kind of silicone solution that just covers it up for a while before washing off. Any suggestions appreciated.

I've suddenly discovered this problem with the drivers footwell. Washed the car a few times over the weekend and lifted the drivers foot mat up to discover the carpets wet. Will work through the suggestions on the post. Cheers.

Yep, can recomend C&R Enterprises. Close to the City Centre as well. Serviced my G60 last year. What Steve doesn't know about VW's isn't worth knowing. Very happy to chat about any probs with the car. One word of caution, they are very thorough and will no doubt give you a long list of things that need doing to your C if they aren't 100% right. Which is good but you do always leave feeling your car is a pile of sh*t, when in fact they just have high standards. Oh and last time I went the hourly labour rate is about £50, so it can suddenly add alot to your bill for long jobs.

Can this be done without taking the seat apart? Results look well worth it.

Still smarting, after two days! Was done good and proper by a M*ndeo TDCI on Sunday afternoon. The shame. :( Therapy required. Or chip & pulley. :)

Why does he sign the questions off as Denis but have Colin as the contact name by phone? Hmmmm...........

G60 getting to much fuel. SOLVED! Aftermarket Lambda-sensor
Jay2 replied to mmmbeer's topic in Engine Bay
Had exactly the same problem a few weeks ago. The C was drinking the petrol as fast as I could put it in the tank. Plugs covered in blackness, car had a slight hiccup/stutter when I lifted off the go pedal. Took it to garage and ended up with a new lambda probe. Job sorted. Did they tune the engine when they fitted a new probe? -
Hello, Suddenly noticed that my reversing lights have stopped working on the C, checked the bulbs & got power to the cluster & everything works ok. So next suspicion is that the connector to the gearstick has come off or is lose. Is the connection to the gearstick underneath the car? Tried the Bentley's, but it isn't clear where the connection is. Any help appreciated. :?

Hiya mate, Nope not got round to trying the 3 Step Process, got all the bits just waiting for a good few days of appropriate weather, ie. no rain, showers and also no sun?! Is it true that I need to keep the Step3 Wax on to harden as long as possible, such as overnight, etc? Cheers.

Cheers mate. Not actually his car in vid. Having usuall long running argument with him between F*rds or VDubs. Although at moment both his RS and my C have spent about the same amount of time in garage. :(

He's got an old skool Escort RS Turbo, MKII/III I think? He's a bit upset that theyv'e now starting appearing in 'Classic Ford' mag rather than 'Fast Ford'. Sent me this other day:- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spDIREX6 ... ted&search After I sent a few of the Turbo'd VR6 vids to him.

What to expect from a rolling road tune for my g60
Jay2 replied to dirtytorque's topic in Engine Bay
What to expect from a rolling road tune on a G60? Well from experience mostly immense butt clenching as your pride and joy is thrashed to the red-line and screams like a banshee, while you start to believe in god and pray nothing goes POP! -
Mates got a Ford RS with cloth Recaro interior and they are great, comfy yet with plenty of support, they even have a bit at the front which can be pushed out to give more depth to the seat and upper leg support. Got leather in my C and yep, they do give plenty of side, back support but your arse just slides about on hard cornering. Also, cold in winter and hot, sticky in summer.

Rung local dealers and got quoted £120 + vat for a 91' G60.

Anyone bought one recently? Just after a rough costing for a comparison. Cheers.
