  1. I am in a bit of a predicament (sp?) i dont know whether i want to keep my headlight tints or lose them! I like the look of them sometimes, but then sometimes think its a bit chav and plus my lights aren't brilliant now (big understatement ) so by losing them i could see again at night! What do y'all think?? This: Or this: :?: :?: :?: Rob.
  2. If they make a big difference with supercharged vr's then i might get one when i supercharge mine, and the porsche sound cant be bad :D
  3. If you can afford it then i would give it a complete overhaul, new suspension (lowered looks best), new bushes, bearings etc etc and it will drive superb and you wont regret it :)
  4. It will fail i would imagine, you might get a small gain in performance and a slightly better sound but for the sake of come MOT time i dont think its worth it personally.
  5. What colour is it going to be when finished? I think that army green looks wicked with the super shiny wide boy rims 8)
  6. Dont suppose you are breaking that interior are you? :D it was bought for that purpose  .......................cos its in my Storm now  :-P Ok then
  7. Dont suppose you are breaking that interior are you? :D
  8. They cant be that good if they have a Rover 200 in their website banner
  9. That 'golf thing' is a 900bhp golf  Its done by a company in sweden called Dahlback Racing LINK its ther project car.
  10. Is that what the Golf RS1 uses in this pic:
  11. Well they come on a lot of good cars standard but on Tyretest.com they only get a rating of 2.6 which is good but compared to Toyo T1-R's (which i have and thoroughly recommend ) 1.6 they are certainly not the best tyres you can get. If its grip in the wet you want though the Toyo's are good (exactly the same performance as Goodyear Eagle F1's which have been the king wet tyre for ages) the best tyres seem to be Uniroyal Rainsports which are fantastic in the rain hence the name but i believe they tend to wear quickly, but thats the case with all good performance tyres really as they use softer rubber. HTH :) Rob.
  12. Id say go all red like Goldie's, they look OEM and most of all superb :D EDIT: Like THIS 8)
  13. Ok cheers mate. Neil (Riley) can you confirm this? :D
  14. Well i like them with et15 8) but i dont want to have to replace my tyres soon :( so i might get the machined down to et25 and then space them out until they quite wide but dont catch, so maybe et20 ish :D
  15. Hi all, I have used the search and there is no end on fitting VDO gauges in the centre console however what i want to know is? 1) Are they lit up by LED's or Bulbs? 2) If LED's what voltage ones - 12v or low volt (3v or 5v etc)? 3) What is involved with changing the back lighting? Difficult? Cheers, Rob.
  16. Ok nice one, i will look in to it. Whats the maximum you can take off without changing bolts etc? Mine are et15 so do you think taking 10mm mil off to make it et25 will be ok?
  17. I was wondering if you could get the offset machined down, i think that might be the best option for me as i have to get them refurbed anyway and mine still catch even with cut arches. What sort of places will do it?
  18. Ouch :pale: i done all the bushes on my fiesta and they were a cnut so i can imagine these being even more so :(
  19. How much would it cost a garage to do all the bushes and these ball joints in one go?
  20. Depends on how low you want it really mate, i had just springs and shocks on before dropped 40mm and the wide wheels didnt look right it needed to be lower, i got some coilovers (Weitec Hicon GT's which i can fully recommend) and they are fantastic, much better drive and of course adjustable so i can slam it if going to a show and raise it a bit for practical every day use :D But if you want yours to look like Bendy's above then yeah get some coilovers and then get the arches flared and SLAM IT
  21. He bought the car like it mate but i will ask him anyway in case he knows. Most bodyshops will be able to do it, best bet is to just go round a few and get some quotes.
  22. If you need a respray anyway then you might as well get them done. It looks the nuts with flared arches and wide wheels slammed, like Bendy's below:
  23. Yeah looks moonlight blue in the pictures. As for people in the back ... :( sorry mate thats a no no unless you have coilovers and can raise it right up if you have to take someone  I dunno how much it will cost to get the arches flared as i dont intend to get mine done as i would rather save the money towards supercharging mine and just raising it a bit, its not going to be cheap though as it requires both rear wings to be resprayed.
