Plus with the vr you get the awesome noise of the 12v v6 :D:D:D
-
The VR6 has ABS mate. I would imagine the G60 to be less reliable than the vr (probably get shot for saying that!) as the vr is just a big lazy lump where as the g60 is tuned and requires the supercharger to be looked after etc where as you wont have that with a vr. I dont think they are far off the pace of a vr although have more tuning potential, but if its speed you want get a vr and supercharge it :D

Get a corrado VR6 mate, dont worry about mileage as there are some low milers about but even ones with over 100k are only just ran in, mines on 132k and still very healthy. They aren't as bad as people think on fuel either, if you do motorway or long distance commutes you can easily see 30+ mpg i drive only short distance town with a bit of open road driving and i average 26mpg and the later models have a 70 litre tank so you can get quite a few miles out of them too :D

So which passat do these come out of? I need to rob some parts off an old passat for my C so if its the same one i may as well rob one of these :D

Now thats how an audi should look 8) top work mate it looks superb!!

Cheers mate thats really helpful. Im not a CCGB member though unfortunately :( do you reckon they will give discount if i mention im a corrado forum member?

Ok thanks for all the help guys. I am going to order some new bushes and fit them myself (fronts anyway) and i also wanted to change the ball joints. Is GSF the best place to get these? If so on their site they usually list products singularly so would that mean i need to order 2 ball joints?? Cheers.

Ok my bulb has just started dating and i dont want loads of baby bulbs so i want him to use a condom  Seriously now ... where can i get one of these so called bulb condoms in red? I done a search for them and only got a few mentions but not where to get them. I have swapped my interior lights to red and to get a better look on my heater controls i need the bulb to shine red, on the canadian corrado site they use these bulb condoms. Would halpfords sell them? How about maplins? Cheers, Rob.

But Jay's old car wasn't blackberry it was a Porsche colour. Yeah thats right but its very close to blackberry so still gives a good idea on how mine would look with certain upgrades etc.
-

I dont think there are height restrictions and it doesnt seem as if there is much of a height restriction on some curbs nowadays as they are well high on some new housing estates round my way and you wanna see the size of the speed bumps  i went to pick a bird up one night and i had to ring her and tell her to walk out the estate as i couldnt even get in and that was before my coilovers when it was lowered just 40mm, i got out to see how high they were and if i had took my chin spoiler completely off i still would caught my bumper i reckon  i hate the bastards

Son of a Beesting, that looks awesome :D and well done attaching it :)
-
Son of a Beesting, type a message in the reply text box and click the 'Preview' button. On the next page there will be a button at the bottom of the text box saying 'Add an Attchment' then just browse for the picture and attachit and submit :)
-
Forget it then  thanks for the help though. I think for now i will just get as many rubbers etc upgraded, de-rattle the interior and go from there :)
-
Indeed  but then they are quite a common choice of wheel where as if you could get some speedlines in 16" then yours would certainly be a unique corrado.
-
Like it 8)
-
Looks good Neil, subtle changes make a big differene in the interior i reckon. Cant wait to see your new wheels though!!!
-
Thats horrible  some classic cars in there, that cossie looked mint. I feel for the bloke :(
-
Has anyone mention Borbet C's yet? They are OEM looking and really suit the corrado. The blue C on the far left of today's banner has them on :)
-
And cheaper insurance, i got quoted a grand extra for a storm over a standard VR6!!! Mate, first of all welcome to the forum and good choice in choosing a corrado  120k is not much for the VR6 mate as they are a 6 cylinder engine. I bought mine at 125k and its now on 132k and at the Stealth rolling road day was one of the healthiest engines and i got a very good 202bhp and 196lb/ft standard!!

I scrape my chin spoiler driving off my driveway, only a small amount though. But the best bit is there is a nursery school opposite so there are shed loads of mums standing around and they all turn and look when they hear it  I see loads of shaking heads but i just laugh

Mystic Rado, I had poly bushes on my old car and i agree the handling was fantastic but it made it very uncomfortable and crashy and i certainly dont want to make my C any crashier so i will stick with standard bushes. corozin, Thanks for that mate its a great help, i had heard that the weitecs were a hard ride before i got them but i didnt have a massive amount of money to spend and they are good for handling. I may change them one day when i have some cash to spare but for now i will just put up with it i reckon. I will change my bushes as im pretty sure they are shot, so hopefully they will make some improvement. I am also going to try and 'rattle free' my interior as i myself can put up with the hard ride as i know it handles because of it but its just annoying hearing everything in the car rattling and almost embarassing with people in the car so this weeked i am going to give this a go! Cheers for all your help Rob.
