Mine are et15 on the rear and et30 on the front with 3mm spacers so et27. The fronts sit perfect and dont catch at all with the arch lip pushed up. The rears stick out a LOT tho and catch with the arch lip grinded about half way. I think the vr is wider both front and back because when i saw Mr Beige's 16v with 9's all round, all his were under the arch and were et15  when i put my et15 on the front of mine it stuck out WAY too much

Errrm yeah just a bit  But thats getting sorted hopefully. The car is in the garage today getting the tracking done and the rear wheels camber adjusted so the top sits in a tad. If that doesnt stop the catching then i will be getting the angle grinder out again
-
No idea mate, i will find out from them tonight when i pick her up.
-
Neil i have 215/40's on my 9's and they stick out a hell of a lot more then they will on yours! From what i remember 215/40's are the closest radius to standards. I held mine up against my speedlines and there weren't much in it tbh. What wheels you got then mate? Rob.

Aren't the RC's on of the lightest 17's you can get? They looks superb imo, i am biased for the chunky look but i still love the look of RC's on a C 8)
-
Yeah apparently Orbit tyres dont just do tyres, i spoke to the guy at the wellingborough one and he said they do everything, they were fitting a new engine in a car when i was there  which is handy to know as i know them all down there so if i ever need any mechanical work doing then i can take it there :D I guess they have the proper stuff for wheel alignment as he seemed to know what i meant lol.

what are your perfect wheels for a 'Rado and why? Disc

Gott be my Brocks 8) and i love Bendy's Keskin KT4's, they both suit the corrado perfectly imo. But i also loved Jay's corvette wheels on his beautiful C 8) -
I could only drop it off lastnight as im working and couldnt get a lift otherwise so i took it over lastnight and they are doing it today. Getting it done at Orbit tyres in wellingborough as my dad knows the guys there so can get discount. Cant wait to get her back!!

I miss my car :( she's in the garage overnight getting the wheels sligned and the rear camber adjusted! But i get to take my sisters mk2 golf to work tomorrow so that will be fun :D
-
Nice one Ben i will have a look. If not Mk2 golf one it is! No they are just 9" wide with offset et15 so stick out a LOT  Not really but its looks good  You sure did mate :D thanks a lot for the deal and quick delivery! The rides not that bad really, its bumpy yeah but then its going to be but its not that crashy, they seem to absorb bumps very well and give great support when hitting bumps at speed etc.
-
Cheers mate. Yep thats why i take two spaces right at the back of the car park. Its usually my own little area where the car just sits looking mean  but today some arse in a 4x4 parked next to me
-
Good question  Well from the middle of the arch to the ground the measurements are: Rear - 58cm Front - 57cm So it has the slightest nose down stance 8)
-
Cheers Ben, yeah i will!! I have already caught it on my sodding gate stopper thing  i just drive over the bastard now hoping to flatten it  Where did you get your sump guard from? And does it sit much lower? Easy to fit? Rob.
-
I know what you mean, these damn corrados are addictive!!! Udate already, she is now booked in to have the wheels aligned and the rear camber adjusted to see if i can stop the catching. Looking at my fronts though it seems as if they are already cambered slightly where as the backs are bolt upright
-
Looks slightly better than the buggy look before doesnt it :lol:
-
Its interesting at the moment  It drives fine, its not overly bumpy and handles superbly my only issue at the min is my rear wheels catching like a b@stard!! But im going to get the rear wheels cambered slightly and grind a tad more off the arch and it should be fine. Oh and speed bumps are fun with the chin spoiler
-
Cheers guys :D There are loads of spaces in my works car park so im entitled to take up 2

I have just put on my Weitec GT's and i am very impressed with them so far. The ride is fairly comfortable as coilovers go and the car feels so much more stable and responsive. Overall very very happy with them so a BIG thanks to Darren at G-Werks for sorting them out for me :D Oh and they go LOW 8) Rob.
-
Your car looks superb Goldie :D That interior looks immaculate  and the dial rings look good. You didnt go for the DDI Dials then? I went for the whole package and they looks awesome. The rings just give it a nice touch imo much more modern looking 8) So what coilovers are you going for? If you dont have a big budget then i highly recommend the Weitec GT's, i have only had mine on a day and already love them  Rob.
-
Ok as promised here are some pics of my car with the new coiovers on. Not the best pictures as i was a bit rushed to get to work and the weather is dull but you get the idea :D
-
Thanks mate, my aim is to be everyones favourite like Jays  Yours is one of my favs too, love your wheels, they go so well on a red C 8)
-
YES :D:D and it looks SO much better and drives superb. But my rear wheels are catching the arch a bit over bumps so i need to grind the arches a bit more. And i am going to get the camber done so the top sits in a tad more, hopefully that will sort it then. I will get some pics tomorrow as its dark now. Overall very impressed so far :D Rob.
-
:lol: I am in a bit mate! Just waiting for my help with fitting them to arrive.
-
Cheers Guys! Dont really know mate, i didnt know there was a way to illuminate them :? i will look into it. You are right tho, the dials are so bright the needles are difficult to see. Its really good to hear that!! I cant wait to get them on. Do these need to settle etc and how long if they do?
