So what does this horrible exhaust look like then?? -
Nothing wrong with a loud exhaust if you have the engine to back it up. but being loud for louds sake is just stupid. Sometimes I want a quiet exhaust![/quote:babb8] Yeah exactly if you have the engine to back up the noise then fair enough but i just laugh when i see a boy racer in a chavvy corsa with a HUGE exhaust on, they put their foot down and you hear loads of noise but they aint going anywhere  I just like a nice subtle exhaust like the miltek on my vr 8) I hate pretty much everything thats been said already!

especially as most of the other people using the carpark are 4x4 driving mums who are too lazy to walk more than 10 feet to the supermarket entrance, so you should have 90% of the carpark to yourself!! True

Thats one good looking driveway 8)

 Get a BMW mate.... :-P Very good  but im not that bad, its only at work i do it :-P

I dont do it in public car parks at all as it annoys me as well but my work car park is huge and never even close to full so i park at the back out the way. But people still come and park next to me for some reason :x so i take up 2 spaces :D

So shall i save my money and put up with the ride quality or will spending £100 on front wishbones and ball joints at least make some difference to the quality and most of handling?
-
Well another reason i want to change all the rubbers etc is because i want the car stable and driving well before i supercharge it.
-
Hey, The ride quality in my vr is quite shocking since fitting my coilovers. The coilovers are hard anyway which i was expecting but surely little things like drain covers and changes in tarmac etc shouldnt make the car crash and bang so i am looking to improve my ride. Granted my wheels dont help either being 9" with 40 profile tyres. I am thinking the usual bushes and ball joints (top mounts have already been done). I can replace the front wishbones and ball joints myself, i will have to get the rear axle bushes done at a garage. So i just have a few questions: 1) How easy/hard is it to change the ARB bushes? 2) On GSF when ordering these i know i need both left hand and right hand wishbones, but do i need to order 2 ball joints or is the price on the site for the set? 3) Any other simple enough changes that could help ride quality? Cheers, Rob.

Cheers mate :)

i checked this out and you appear to be right. i guess my options are put it back to how it should be or get the bump stops cut? wow, its great how im planning on spending money that i dont have!!! If you are mechanically minded you can do this easily enough, it just involves taking the rear suspension out, splitting the shocks and springs and taking out the bump stop to cut down. If you are not mechanically minded then im sure a garage would do it cheap enough. What you have to do is cut the bump stop down the amount the car has been lowered ie if its been lowered 40mm then cut 40mm off of the bump stop :) Rob.

Where abouts is Chipwizards based? If it is not too far from me then when i FINALLY charge mine i may take a trip there to get mine mapped as he seems well respected. I just checked out their website and there's not really much information! I may have to try and sell them a website :D

I have done a photoshop for you mate so you can get the idea of how yours would look with standard lights. Im in 2 minds about mine as well, i wasnt too keen on all lights tinted so i removed the fogs/indicator tints and thats made it look less busy up front, my lights are still dismal though  but i still might take my headlight tints off so i can see, but i wanna get my moneys worth out of them first  Rob.
-
Yeah the sun was beaming down on them and they look purple for some reason :? but normally they are black.
-
Cheers mate :) I am going to leave them on for a bit to get my moneys worth really
