Do a search mate as this has been covered LOADS of times. I believe though that you have to plastic weld a bit of plastic into the gap and then smooth it off with filler. You cant just fill it as the filler cracks with the flex from the bumper. Rob.

Thanks for the nice comments, she truly is beautiful :D but then all corrados are so im not just being big headed  toon vw - Not yet mate, i havent got them off yet but will hopefully over the weekend as i fit my coilovers. Yes they are either 35 or 40mm lower, whichever they are they are a very subtle height.
-
I received my coilovers today YAY :D:D:D going get them on over the weekend and see how she looks LOW 8) I also added my new DDI Dials from the group buy last weekend and only just got round to posting . I am really pleased with them, at night they look awesome, and very modern compared to the dim green light from the old ones! They weren't hard to fit really once i got my head round things, but i did have some problems with the LCD's but i wont spoil the fun if any of you are planning on getting some  Anyway here are some pics of the dials. I will get some pics up when i have fitted the coilies! Rob.

Do it mate, aqua blue looks superb with all red rears. But dont spray them, get some of the tints from the group buy  -
If you are after coilovers for the handling mate then save up and get some better ones with dampening adjustments etc. If you want good enough handling but mainly want to slam the car then budgets are all you need.
-
Nah i want the beige leccy heated jobbies  plus the money could go towards a charger and know which one i would rather have
-
If only you had the beige electric heated recaros i would have them :D Do you not fancy them in yours then Ben?
-
You get what you pay for with coilovers, as they are budget they will be very crashy. But they will still be pretty good imo, and the Jamex ones are stainless steel i think so they wont rust where as some budget coilies aren't and so need coating before putting on. Do a search mate as there may be other threads that could help.

That looks interesting :? Im liking the fogs/indicator tints 8)
-
 nah nothing like that. If i ever get bored i will start something that will be challenging, like fitting the TT dash and new interior etc etc :D
-
 cheers mate, and yes you are right, i am on a work placement for a year on full time wage but still live with parents 8) I have nothing else to spend money on since the gf left me so i just spend it all on may car. Im just wprried i will run out of things to do to it soon
-
Cheers mate! Its the best colour imo, especially after a polish  i am fitting my new coilovers at the weekend so it will be as low as in my sig so will look mean 8)
-
Completely agree with you there Jim. I took Karls out after you and was also surprised how it didnt feel that quick, dont get me wrong it was rapid but i was expecting stupid speed! I think the fact that it has solid coilovers gives that effect as you dont feel the car move, where as in mine with soggy suspension the car sits back and you feel like its shifting!! Same with the brakes which were really good but no dive gives the impression they aren't that good  But that said i am still saving for a charger for mine , just need to sell my motorbike to raise funds
-
Well i have just put normal pressures in as i thought the same thing as you, but just thought id ask in case
-
I have a HUGE car park where i work and its never even half full so i park at the back and take up about 8 spaces  i still get b@stards parking next to me tho sometimes just to take the piss Unlucky Louis, i mean Mr Beige
-
I thought it would be for the car, but then you are hardly going to drive to germany to pick up a sofa  And i was joking about the charger, i dont have any money yet

175 is too stretched imo, when i bought my 9's they had 195's on and the side walls were flat, and had a terrible ride!! I got 215/40's now. On 8's I reckon 195 for the stretched look 8) -
Tom??? :?

Go for the VR mate, sod the insurance. Im 20 and went for the VR purely for the sound track and lazy power  im paying £1200 fully comp with 1 yr ncb with the AA 8) and its worth it every day when you get over 4k revs :D Rob.
