QUICK UPDATE I have just ordered some coilovers for my vr, went for Weitec GT's in the end after i got a great deal from Darren at G-Werks so i should receive them next week some time and then i can get them on and get the vr slammed :D not going to go too low at first, just take the majority of gap away from the arches whilst i bed them in, i will need to grind some more arch away before slamming it anyway  all good fun though! So i will post some pics when i have them on. Also i am starting to save for a supercharger  oh yeaaahh! I had a go in karls charged vr and i have to have one now! So to help me raise funds for the charger does anyone themselves/or know anyone that needs a website?? I am a web developer for Unilever and although havent got a big personal portfolio, i have worked on some very good sites at work. My skills include mainly HTML, classic ASP and ASP.NET 2.0, Databases, and im quite good with graphics using Macromedia Fireworks and Adobe Photoshop so can make good looking sites as well! I also have some knowledge with Flash animations. I am very cheap as its only freelance work and i live with parents so dont have overheads etc etc. Take a look at my site which is http://www.herisites.co.uk for all my information and current portfolio. Cheers, Rob.

Well i bit the bullet and ordered the Weitec GT's in the end off of Darren at G-Werks who done me a great deal and the guy on the phone was very polite  so big thanks to g-werks. I should have them mid next week so will post my verdict when they are on. Just out of interest, how long roughly do coilies take to bed in? And are they easy enough to adjust the height? Rob.
-
Oh and i have now ordered my coilovers so would be selling in about a weeks time.
-
I am not sure whether they fit or not tbh sorry :? Well i have had one of the fronts off and apart as i checked to see if they had bump stops which the front did (although i replaced that one with the new one i bought lol) and the condition seems fine. I am not 100% how many miles they have covered etc but when i bought the car in August the guy i got it off said it werent long since he fitted them. As for price, they are only G-Max so am told they are worth about £70 for the springs and shocks. But i just bought all new bump stops coming to around £40 so i would want closer to £100 tbh. Rob.

I have a set of G-Max 40mm drop springs and shocks coming up for sale soon. They are on my C at the minute but i am getting coilovers soon. Not the best kit you can get but they seem ok, fairly comfortable for daily driving and offer enough support for handling with less body roll than standard. Plus i just bought brand new bump stops for them which i havent even fitted yet! Here is how my car sits: Rob.

Yeah its a bit ... shall we say bouncy  It catches like a biatch with someone in the back but with just me and someone in the front they dont catch after grinding the arch lip. But like i said i only took a bit off so could take a load more off when i fit the coilovers. Karl - Thanks mate, i looked at them but didnt know whether they were any good! The guy offering me these Weitecs cant praise them enough (even though he's obviously trying to make a sale ) and they are owned by KW and are his best seller with no bad feedbacks or warranty problems so cant be bad! I think i will go with the Weitecs. Seems a good offer for good suspension to me. Rob.
-
Well at the minute i have soggy suspension with no bump stops in the back so they bottom out quite easily and they dont rub at all unless i have someone in the back but i havent took much of the arch lip off the back and would take more off when i fit my coilovers. These will surely be more solid and a better setup then the soggy gay g-max i got now
-
Are you sure its not just a BMW, the indicators never work on them

I am looking to buy some coilovers for my vr and have been offered some Weitec Hicon GT's at a very good price. I am aware that these are good coilovers but my only worry is that they are only heigh adjustable and so i cant adjust the damping etc and i have WIDE wheels on. If i have rolled/grinded my arches and get these and have them sitting fairly low will i have any issues with the wheels or will they be alright? Rob.

We have a group buy on some vinyl overlays. You can order tints for the rears save you having to buy new lights. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=49911&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 HTH Rob.

Ok i now might be going with Weitecs  cant make up my bloody mind. I can get some Weitec coilovers for £450 delivered to my door. Does this sound a good deal or can G-Werks do better?
-
Using that it comes out like this  you can get the jist of it!
-
Erm kiddie
-
They are only G-Max springs and shocks mate, the ride is fine really they are quite stiff but not too stiff so are comfy at general driving and are supportive when giving it some round a bend. They are not the greatest suspension you can get but they are cheap, my full set of shocks and springs are only worth about £70 but i have just bought some brand new (unfitted) bump stops which cost me about £40 for the fronts and back, which are to stop them from bottoming out so would want closer to £100 but am open to offers. Rob.
-
Yeah that sounds like a good idea mate i may just take you up on that  Gimme a shout when they are on  Rob.

Just noticed on Venom that the AK's are not coilovers both front and back. Is this the case? Looks like i may have to budget for Highsports after all!
-
Yeah thats true. Well i wanna save as much money as possible really but without getting crap ones. I had a go in Karls car on sunday and he has the FK AK's which are the budget option and they seemed good enough. Ahh confused.com!!!1one
-
Yeah but they are well expensive brand new  I was looking at cheapo FK AK's but for the price of them brand new i could get some half decent ones second hand so thought i would look around a bit before ordering anything.
-
I might be selling my 40mm suspension soon  Here is how mine looks lowered on standard speedlines:

Hi, I am after some coilovers for my vr and have been looking around here, ed38, vr6oc and ebay and cant really find any decent ones going and i know i can get some cheap ish new ones but for the same money i could get some really good second hand ones you see  So i have been looking on german ebay and there are some KW variant 2's HERE for 500 euros which works out as about £340  but i cant understand a word of it and dont know if they are any good and if the guy will post to england etc. Can anyone help? Rob.
