  1. Well like i said mine is lowered 40 and i had a LOT of rubbing and although mine are 9" wide and lower offsets the ones in the link are 17's and still 8.5" wide so i think you will need to get some archwork done, they will certainly rub with people in the car, i couldnt drive mine with someone in the back because the arches were resting on the wheels  As for my red rears i received my vinyl tints this morning so wil be putting them on tonight :D Rob.
  2. I am going to join in this thred if you dont mind because i am in exactly the same boat as you skinnyman  I also have a budget of around £400-£500 but want comfy ish coilovers that also handle very well and have a good drop. Bendy has Avo's on his which are around £550 iirc and i followed him the other day and it was flat on bends and looked the nuts! Rob.
  3. Hi mate, bens wheels are now mine  They are great wheels and look superb on the rado! Only problem i can think of with the ones in the link is the offsets, they should fit fine on the back but the fronts wont fit over your caliper carriers and so you will need to shave some off as i have done. I have et15 on the back which stick out quite a lot and et30 on the front with 3mm spacers making them et27 and i still had to grind the caliper carriers. EDIT: sorry mate i only just noticed they are 17" so they should fit over your calipers fine, mine are 16's which is why they dont fit. As for rubbing issues, mine is dropped 40mm and catched quite a lot but that was with them sticking out but now i have rolled my front arches and grinded the rears and they dont catch at all, on standard suspension they shouldnt catch but imo they would look better on a lowered rado. EDIT AGAIN: Also i forgot to say that mine are 9" wide so 1/2" wider than yours and i have stretched tyres whereas the ones in the link have normal tyres so i think you will get catching. Rob.
  4. On your storm a 40 drop would look perfect IMO, its only when you start changing the wheels that the the car would look better slammed!
  5. Its lowered 40mm at the minute mate which on the speedies was a perfect ride height and is useable for daily driving, i do scrape the front spoiler occassionally but thats about it! But now i got the 9x16's on its too high plus i want mine to look like bendys which is low and wide  Rob.
  6. Yeah i will get some new ones, dunno which yet though, i would like some that aren't too harsh on bumps but still have next to no body roll and superb handling! The H&R 'comforts' are supposed to do that but fook me they are expensive! Rob.
  7. Cheers Dave :D Bally coilovers are next on the list, i didnt think it looked too bad until i was parked next to bens car and mine looked like an off roader  plus following bens car i couldnt believe how flat his car was round bends!! So if you know where there are any coilovers going for the vr lemme know  Rob.

    new wheels

Wrong area mate you will probs get better response in the Exterior section. But i might as well post mine  Brock B2's 9x16 et15 on back and et30 on front with spacers 8)
  9. So how longs that take then, few hours or not even that? They certainly look good, much more modern looking. My mums asked me for ideas for a xmas present and i think i have just made up my mind  Rob.
  10. Thats just plain wrong :pukeright:
  11. Only just noticed that  Well the swirly graphics did interest me in my headunit but it was more to do with my mate having it at a low low price due to it doing the rounds  Are those dials the ones from the group buy? Are they just a straight swap for standard?
  12. SNAP! you have good headunit taste  Oh and those dials look sexual!
  13. That looks HUGE in that pic  must be the angle/quality
  14. There's a mint red one at my work. Haven't spoke to the guy but they are certainly good looking cars imo and i imagine would be fun to drive!
  15. Any ideas why these dont work on late vr's with the transponder?
  16. I was going to try one of these but they dont do them for the late model vr6 with the transponder which is mine so i couldnt get one, i thought for £25-£30 cant be no harm trying! Rob.
  17. I just done another search and its advised to use the MK4 golf bump stops on the front as they are shorter. So can someone just clarify this for me: I need the vr6 rear bump stops from GSF and cut the top notch off? AND I need the MK4 golf front bump stops and dont cut any off? Do GSF do these or will i need to go VW? Cheers, Rob. EDIT: Part numbers on GSF are 45723H for the rear (vr6) and 1J0 412 303 from VW for the short Mk4 golf front. Correct?
  18. Ok thank, are they specifically for the corrado vr6 or are they for another cra but will fit the corrado? Any part numbers at all? But the rears off GSF are fine but will just need the top notch cutting off? Rob.
  19. Yeah i just had a look and my house is still someones back garden
  20. I am going to resurrect this thread if i may. I have uprated suspension on my vr lowered by 40mm and i have just fitted 9x16's on it. When driving normally the wheels dont catch at all and as its not on the floor it doesnt catch when im giving it a bit round some bends. However if i go round a bend and hit a bump they scrub () or if im going at a high ish speed and hit a large dip they scrub. I dont think my suspension has these bump stops so i will obviously need to get some right? I have found the right ones on GSF for the vr6 but they dont have any for the front for the vr6, are they the same as the 4 cylinders or do i need to get some different ones? if so where from and does anyone know part numbers etc? Cheers, Rob.
  21. True  Cheers mate :D hearing people say that makes it all worth while! I held out for a good one in blackberry, i wouldnt settle for any other colour lol.
