  1. there are tohers here in the states as well, but this one is always easiest to find pictures of...
  2. too bad i don't live across the pond... i have something that would be perfect for you haha... a USA PL 16v with oil squirters for the pistons, brand new ABA Forged crank, Scat Forged Rods, JE forged pistons 10.5:1 compression, Autotech sport cams ( 170hp N/A but she'll take 15psi for sure) tossin around the idea of selling to make one of the most powerful PG G60 engines in the states just to proove a point... no one over here thinks a G60 can make any real power (over 250hp to the wheels)
  3. UGH :bad-words: i just F'n typed everything out and submit and it didn't go through... DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i remember the metric measurements... i'll get the american again... Intake Inlets (both sides intake and boost return) are 68mm (or 2 7/16") and narrows across 5mm in depth into the charger inlet down to 62mm. from bolt hole to bolt hole for intake mounting is 80mm (or 3 5/32") Compressor outlet is 80mm (or 3 5/32) and there is a bolt in the dead center (40mm in) of the outlet that holds on the silencer box, rallye golf outlet, or RSR outlet on to adapt to boost tubes... hope that helps... p.s. i did the measurements with a tape measure not a feeler gauge... it is possible for those to be off but i measured and remeasured and triple checked so they should be about dead on...
  4. i used a 2 jaw and 3 jaw pulley and bearing pullers, neither were strong enough  i had to use my big pulley puller that is ment for press on pullies that take 6 tons of force to pull off... i've never seen anything like that before and i've had more G60's than i'd like to think about haha
  5. i was down right amazed... when i unbolted the pulley and couldn't get it off i was at a loss of words... so i lubed it daily for a week and though with a bit of pressure it would come right off... no way... i had to use the pulley puller i have to pressed on pullies that require 6 tons of pressure to remove, and it still fought with me to come off  here are some pics... i wonder if the charger is still good to have it rebuilt?
  6. holy crap ford escorts were once nice?!?!?!?! (crosworth exception even though we don't have)
  7. i am looking for both side stickers... anyone know if they are still capable of getting? another dilemma is i can not just go to a dealer here because we never had Corrado Jet's in the USA so i can't get a part number... if anyone is going to the dealer for anything mind asking? and if so can you get me a part number? i would assume each side would be different numbers? i also need Golf Fire and Ice edition body stickers if well you don't mind asking haha THANKS!!!! Justin
  8. so does anyone know if VW still makes or sells G60 Jet stickers? i need them... badly... oh i could also really use a set of MK2 Fire and Ice stickers haha
  9. side exit my question is, hows the cleaance though... and what tips are you guys using? i think i am gonna use the porsche 996 TT tip...
  10. guess who's probably not getting a scirocco? yep... The United States of America... how crappy is that? they're saying last time they had a "sports car" here in the USA it sold very poorly, i.e. the Corrado and they feel it's probably not worth the money to make them legal here in the states. that sucks!!!!!!!! cause i was legitamately planning on it being my next car... not the first year it came out cause nothing is ever right the first year, but the 2nd year i was gonna buy one...
  11. so where cna i go about getting used OEM audi parts? edition 38 is all VW... and here is al corrado... anyone wanna tip me off on where to get some audi stuff? looking for a bumper for 97 A4 and possibly lower dash to an audi TT... thanks... Justin
  12. haha i used to do 260miles a day, but i moved closer to work and now it's about 210miles a day on my 00 Golf GLS 2.0L i get about 33 to 34 miles per gallon
  13. you could just get a G60 and be happy... haha for some reason i am not a believer of the VR6... with the exception of the fact that here in the states people seemed to not mess with the electrical systems in VR6's i dunno why... cause after straightening out all of my G60's i've never had a problem with them... just alot of years and stupid people's worth of damage to fix that takes a long time...
  14. funny cause i've known people with strectched tires and said there is absolutely no differnce in handling with them strwetched or not... basically if you're getting a car for handling then you don't want your sidewalls to give out... you'd want them stiff... so also in theroy strech should also make no difference as well... but hey i haven't stretched... yet... but just what i hear...
  15. 19.5:1 but i have seen lower compression ratios on diesels... i have seen 13.0:1 and i have also seen Honda engines have 13.0:1 and really makes me wonder how the gasoline doesn't detonate at uncontrolled times esp since diesel will detonate then and is a much more stable fuel. a friend of mine who passed away not long ago had a B18C5 for his 97 Integra Type R sent out to be sleeved and built along with his head woorked beyond my comprehension haha with a custom ground cam to run at 12.5:1 with an estimated redline of 11,500RPM!!!!!!! unfortunatly though since he has passed the engine has not yet been finished... Rocket engineering who is doing the cylinder head is donating his time and work because we are still going to finish rebuilding his stolen Type R... i believe Benson who is doing the block is doing the work for free as well just paying for the parts... it's gonna be a slow progress but she'll get done...
  16. haha thanks. but it's been a while i didn't think anyone else ever said anything... the US bumper is being replaced and will have late fogs and indicators with a new lower grille and tow hooks as well as a new 90mm lip. haha so yeh you read my intentions there :D the cars going to be stipped soon for a complete rebuild, it's gonna be fun i can;t wait to get the car at my new house and get started haha
  17. i dunno about the TDI but baiscally you need heat, fuel, air, and electric... and by electric i do mean altenator/generator... like a gasoline car the diesel will absolutely not run if the alternator or generator is bad or dirty... you can try simply cleaning it or having it tested...
  18. yeh dahlback racing is ridiculous... i've known about em for a while and they're crazy... no toehr way to put it really... like their 5 cyl MK4 golf is insane...
  19. uhh do what? i've uh... never seen a stock 8v corrado... but i have seen an ABA 2.0 8v swapped into a corrado and it was as explained felt like a rabbit diesel (really wasn't that slow but from a stage 4 G60 to not having a daily driver and having to make do for gas milage it was bad...)
  20. mass air flow sensors and coil packs is all that has ever seemed to go wrong on any i have ever owned or that my friends have owned... and 95% of the time you can just clean the mass air flow sensor with alcohol, let it dry, and put it back in... and coil packs usually noted to really crap out when they're chipped...
  21. i have to wonder if it was done in seriousness...
  22. haha hey, you get what you ask for hahaha
  23. yeh... if you need a full setup check out http://www.vwvortex.com in the corrado parts you can usually get that crap rather cheap since alot of people take it out for the power loss... i will be doing the same... that an it's a show car... i don't really need fucntion... mine used to work like a damn dream but 4 years later i haven't tested it upon getting my car back... p.s. remember the £ is worth nearly twice as much as our $... http://www.xe.com for current exhange rates... last i knew your £ was worth 1.98 $ (USA)
  24. haha beat me to it... def. for the fuel pressure regulator
  25. http://www.tmtuning.com don't they have them? they call them the aero wiper kit... or are they different? cause i thought that's all the lupo ones were?
