look no more early headlight to grille gap! yes i know the car is filthy and really needs a good cleaning or polish so to say? but it's getting the ultimate job done to it soon. like 100% stipping, cleaning, and repainting. oh and i realized the onyl pannel on the car i am not replacing is the shell  everything else goes, doors, fenders/wings, hood/bonnet, hatch/tailgate, front bumper, rear bumper being shaved with parts from another bumper... i can't wait to get this project rolling i got my house yesterday so when i do the final move down october 20th weekend is when it gets started! and come sprign i am going to have Bill Schimmel machine my 16v block, balance, blueprint, and assemble my engine i can't wait. i'm seriously so excited! haha
-
the rear end of the car looks like a BMW 318ti...
-
they might be up later today, i am going out to put them in my car to take pictures and take them right back out so no damage happens in the tow down to my new house...
-
someone may have chose to put USA fenders on it, being that not one fender in the USA from start to end had side repeaters on them...
-
finished pictures are up :D
-
thanks... p.s. don't judge my corrado by that picture haha the whole front end is bign replaced, bumper, fenders, hood, rad support, headlights, fog lights, indicators... and i may sell the doors as well haha
-
wow i never saw your picture, that's looks great and gives me a good idea what they'll look since my rado's red... for now atleast... and i've never seen anyone do that before so atleast i'm not the first haha as for as bad as neons... well i don't see it but it's all personal taste... it better than what i have now... i had my car sold it and one of the owners after me did this and now that i got it back it has to go... not my thing on a corrado... MK2 maybe... sorry about the size of the picture when i get home i'll resize or take it down... oh if anyone tries this... for tinting of any kind whether it's this or tail lights or sidemarkers in black red yellow what ever... some advice is take quick sprays the full length of what you are spraying or you'll get spots that bunch up and when they light up you'll see it... yeh haha i've done alot of tiniting and redding in my days haha

so i just got my lights off of someone from here and they arrived with one lense smashed! but luckily i had brand new late style lenses and bezels already on their way to me and arrived a day after the headlights! so i got started... obviously i disassembled them... so i decided to yellow tint the inner lights to make them look french spec. i had decided to tape off the section i didn't want yellow but only did quick job for 2 reasons one because it will soon be blacked out and 2ndly because that chrome on the headlights come off with any kind of tape... i know i used packaging tape but only cause i couldn't find my damn masking tape! but masking tape will pull the chrome off as well... so i guess vasoline would work if you only wanted to yellow your inner lights but i can't confirm that for sure... but here are the pictures... what i used was a can of stain glass paint on them, works wonders!!!! i've used it to red out tail lights, red out orange side markers, and now to yellow out the headlights... i thought about doing fogs as well but i think i am going to go with brand new OEM french yellow fogs... if someone wants to know the actual name and part number off of the can i can post it when i get home... and i am not quite done as you can see i only did one of them and didn't reassemble yet i let it it to dry and see if i need to do a 2nd coat... also to not have to tape for the blackout i did it all by hand... i used Krylon plastic paint so it would stick better but the stuff is really runny so if i had to do it again i don't think i would have used that... ahh they're done!!!! more progress pics to come on monday... should be together and fully assembled by tuesday! i am off to http://www.h2ointernational.com/ so that's all i have for today, a friend of mine is showing his car i'll post pictures later... some don't like the color... it's tornado red with blue pearl... and it's what actually stopped him from getting into performance vw and euro tuner... stupid! his 8v he fully built himself assembly and everything put 358 to the wheels and everyone just has to talk down on the paint which looks pink in some angles but many looks matchstick red or like uh... damn what's the MK4 GLI blue? cause it looks like that as well in angles... anyways i'm off to the show!
-
http://www.dubtechnik.com but i am not 100% sure if they'll ship to you... if you've heard about them they've had a bad reputation but i've dealt with them several times and they were great to deal with...

headlights- any difference between early & late ?
vdubCorrado replied to boroboy's topic in Exterior
yeh haha the late lenses poke out like 1/4 or 1/2" more so maybe uh... 6 to 13mm more? i mean those arent's exact they're a rough guess in both measurements... i am converting my early to late right now... i'm doing some modifications to the lights before assembling them... check out my thread if you're curious... -
so all i have to say is... OUCH! cause my Mustang Cobra i usually put like uh...? 45 liters or so i guess in it and and well ouch... because i know some of you corrado guys know but well my car gets about 8 miles per US Gallon if i'm not driving it like a total sissy... and i complain about spending £20 to fill! i'll shut my mouth and be happy i am as fortunate as i am
-
i believe you do use Gallon for unit of measurement right? cause i assume that's what my UK gauges read in? anyways here in the states i was until recently paying a bit over $3.00 a gallon for high octane until recently the price dropped to right around $2.80 and you should hear the complaints haha so i am curious what other parts fo the world are paying now a days... cause it's so "bad" here to people we're finally getting econo cars... i'm waiting for a VW polo or lupo i'm not picky... i'll take either haha
-
haha i wouldn't say my Cobra's huge... but i would say it's rather lengthy i gues... as compared to a MK4 4 door golf it's a good 4 feet longer HAHA but i guess it slipped my mind you guys wouldn't get many mustangs there... Mustangs here are a dime a dozen obviously... which is why i was soo reluctant to buy one... but it had to be the one i got or not at all... if you are curious to know a Mustang GT all the way till 2004 in stock or mildly tuned are a joke... i used to beat up on Mustang GT's with my 2001 GTI VR6 that had an AEM cold air intake, Bosal exhaust(got it cheap... not my choice exhaust), GIAC chip, ACT 6 puck clutch, and ACT lightweight flywheel... that cars gone now :( had to sell when i found out it was leaking oil (not oil pan gacket... looked like from head gasket? although i've ever seen that before) and burning oil through the exhaust... i found this 4 months after i bought it so that day it had to go, i went and traded it in on a TT quattro... i miss the GTI... mainly because the girl took the TT on me and i am left with her 00 Golf GLS 4 dr 2.0... but if you come across one... remember fords are harder to beat from a rolling start...
-
the GT500 is basically the same as the 03/04 Cobras... the GT500 is a 5.4L with Ford GT aluminum heads and a roots eaton supercharger... the 03/04's are 4.6L with engine specific aluminum heads and a roots eaton charger... my cobra runs at 9psi stock, i currently are running at 15psi, 4" cold air intake, 95mm mass air flow sensor housing, accufab throttle body, and ported and polished intake plenum and when i get on my car all you hear is the charger until i am infront of you and you hear the exhaust which is mufflerless essentially (just cats and resonators that are completely empty, no baffles, no fiberglass, nothing...) friend of mine in his straight pipe turbo back GTI said over his exhaust and his radio all he heard was my supercharger...
-
anyone go to see one of those? i went to trade my 2003 supercharged cobra in on one and i wasn't impressed they were talked up too much... stock for stock the GT500 is only .1 of a second faster in the 1/4 mile, and the 2003 and 2004 cobras like mine are 1000lbs lighter!!!!!! needless to say i kept my cobra... i put more to the wheels than they make at the crank anyways haha
-
yeh... just incase for next time, your flasher relay can also make it do that...
-
not sure of this interference but i assume it's what here in the states referred to as low tolerance engines... and usually low tolerance engines are engines like hondas that are high compression... the G60's are low compression and have crown topped pistons which leaves you with a rather good chance you are one fo the lucky ones who get away with snapping a timing belt and have it not cause any damage... but def. do a compression test... you could also attempt to hold the crank still on the engine with the cam bolt... just mark the belt and the pulley for the cam to make sure the belt doesn't jump as a safety precaution... honestly i've never seen it happen yet so that's another option... and uh sick of that Jet interior yet? cause i still know a kid for the states who would want to buy it (i.e. me haha) :D
-
damn... if only i could speak german... http://www.carbon-tex.com for this that is... so it has ot be pretty damn tricky getting the carbon laid over round parts and rounded edges so it doesn't bunch up? i read that site but really said nothing about it...
-
so it seems they never really made a full late G60 as stated eh? just the exterior or the interior seperately due to VW's poor ability to do year changes... (they screwed up my 91 badly... only thing they got right were the gauges)
-
as mentioned very early that the 350Z is over priced... i would have to ask how someone thought that... for all the car that you get on a 350Z you can get one base for $26,000... you could almost pay that for a brand new corrado over a decade ago... if you ask me... i say S3... but that's here in the states i dunno how they're priced over there...
-
so as i've been on here for only a short while, i have yet to see a late style G60... do they exist? and sorry fi that seems like a stupid question to most of you, we states people only got early style G60's, and our late style were all VR6's, and never saw the 16v :?
-
How many G's and how many VR's and 16v's are in here?
vdubCorrado replied to DUB's topic in General Car Chat
G60, swapping to 16v... ...fully built 16v turbo on air to water intercooling, and water methanol injection... -

my Corrado is F'n spoiled... here's what she got this week..
vdubCorrado replied to vdubCorrado's topic in Exterior
you like that eh? the damn kittens are in and out of that thing like there is no tomorrow... i swear they go in it just to make sure no one stole it on them cause they're in it 10 times digging for ever one time they use it HAHA but the hood is actually JSP... JSP is more costly than VIS but i am also not sure of the quality of VIS where i used ot work they used to get a ton of VIS hood they would have to mark defective which they were supposed to smash and throw away but sold marked down alot anyways... -
