  1. if your runing the engine with no plug in 1 or 2 can you smell petrol in the gas coming from the spark plug plug hole?? use a node light or 501 side light bulb on the injecter wiring on number 1 or 2 to see if it pulsing the injecter(the light should flash if ok)
  2. when to take the 'c' to work to fit my new wheels (thanks to ben16v) and remove sump to check engine knock/rattle and the brakes failed (pedal gone a bit soft before but allways came back) so i now need a new master cylinder, why did i change that 15 year old brake fliud :cry: . need to fit new front to rear pipes anyway :roll: . engine rebuild/upgrade/more power moved to bottom of the list again :(
  3. if it only in 4th then it most likey to be a gearbox problem if its in 2nd and 4th then worn engine/gearbox mounts or gearbox
  4. loose/worn front anti roll bar bushes
  5. my standard old one was 52mm and miltek is 58mm
  6. if your fitting a twin inlet induction kit why not just run the rocker cover breather pipe to the new second inlet pipe?
  7. what colour smoke white,blue,grey or black?

  9. Fastest Ive owned so far would be my old audi S3 287bhp and 319 lbft it was badly chiped and boosted at 1.9 bar Fastest Ive been in was an old metro 6r4 ex wrc claimed 800bhp also the fastest i've been sideways i needed to change my pants and have a very long rest after that!!
  10. i pay £700 on my A4 tdi estate with 12 year ncd and £300 on my g60 with 0 ncd both parked on the street (for now)

    so all G60'S run Platinum plugs ? its just my car has had 3 prongs fitted at the last 4 services at 3 places (before i got the car)
  12. you may find one middle part is longer aswell, my old exhaust before if fell off had the bar in the middle when the car had two hooks and some string holding it on (right lash up), the middle box had been cut and rewelded to make it shorter aswell if this helps

    what ngk part number are you looking at? in my book at work its the same one's listed for the mk2 golf gti multi-tip 3 prong and denso list 4 prong?

    if the bottom hose is only warmish and its overheating i whould change the thermostat first, sounds like its not fully opening

  16. whats the best way to get more low down torque as my car is just dead under 3k and just a bit better over that and its showing 1580 on the mfa thingy? the bottom end is rattling at around 2.5k so i'am look at a full rebuild anyway? ps sorry for the hijack
  17. standard size valves again or the over sized ones? and what if you chuck a 2l stroker crank and longer rods at it at the same time what bhp can you expect then?

  19. get a vr and stick a turbo on it
  20. it takes you an hour and a half to remove and rear fit rear shoxs??
  21. do they have the right plugs or just spade clips?
  22. the kit maybe good going by the turbo kits on the vr6's (fitting one on a mate at work at the mo) but took 9 months to get here, still cheap on his £2600 with shiping for rods,je's, bb k04 turbo,manafold,ecu, pipes ect ect if my bottom end is that bad i my get one and let you know in around a years time when it gets here
  23. just fitted a Milltek de cat and a middle a rear on my g60, fits like a glove and sounds good no more noise at motorway speeds then the OE (well till you get in the big number anyway) and sounds just right on pull away
