  1. Welcome along! That's certainly a huge spec!! :cuckoo: Got any nore pics of her? Engine bay? Oh and your dog looks evil. :D
  2. You certainly have your work cut out there mate, fair play to you. :D Good luck sorting it all out!!
  3. Definitely find out who they used to courier, and contact them directly yourself mate. I hope for your sake it's insured. :gag: I'd be panicking too.
  4. Sad news indeed. Makes me doubly gutted that I didn't get my arse in gear and go on the trip to the factory. :(
  5. Traitor! Someone pass me the rifle...
  6. Always run at 1/2 tank maximum fuel. Petrol weighs 2.72 kg per gallon, so a late model 15 gallon tank would hold, when full, 40.8kg of fuel. Ergo, at half full you've lost 20.4kg! More than i thought it'd be to be honest!
  7. The OE Hella units are easy enough to align, as David said above, but if you have aftermarkets (FK Crystal etc) then you've got no chance.
  8. Jesus! Lucky there mate, that could've been a lot worse. How did you manage to get on the shoulder without hitting anything?
  9. That is one seriously clean looking bay now mate! Been watching this thread, but only just noticed you're from Cannock, I'm a couple of miles down from you in Cheslyn Hay. Never seen you about though? Anyway, good work! 8)
  10. Fantastic job on the leather! Looks like new! 8)
  11. The floating mech that sends the fuel level actually sits on top of the pump housing. It sits inside the fuel tank, accessed through an inspection cover underneath the boot carpet. It might be worth whipping the pump out and seeing that the float can still achieve its full movement. I'd wait until the tanks nearly empty though, as the pump is submerged after about 1/2 tanks worth of fuel, and makes the job twice as difficult (naturally my pump decided to die with 3/4 of a tank of fuel still in it). Pump is removed by twisting anticlockwise to detach it from the floor of the tank. HTH Edit: Rereading your original post, are you sure the clocks haven't been out in the past and the needle put back on the fuel gauge incorrectly??
  12. This was at UD back in Feb, amazing piece of kit.
  13. Yeah, 92 J was the changover year for the facelift model, i reckon the guys at Karmann just grabbed parts from the parts bins at random during that time. I think there are even some examples with late exteriors/early interiors, and vice-versa :dorky:
  14. No news on the wheel/suspension front, she's still bone stock! Can't decide what best to go for! Saving as much as I can for KW V1's, that much is decided, just can't make my mind up on the rims. Prob leave the speedies on for the rest of this year as I've just had them re-shod, get the suspension sorted towards the end of this year, then hopefully will have decided on wheels by this time next year lol Too many ideas, not enough cash :mad2: Small update to the interior though, finally got round to fitting Audioscape pods, MB Quart components, and Apline V12 4 channel in the boot to power it all (will be adding an Audioscape sub enclsure in the future so the V12 will cover that too... Sounds so much nicer, just wish I'd added some sound deadening in the front doors while they were in bits. Prob gonna whip the cards off in the near future and add some... Oh and fitted a n uprated headlight loom, as sold by KUR2Y on here. Best mod i've done. Oh and i need the front end and passenger side painting while I'm thinking about it. haha
  15. It was a bit "Hollywood", especially the section where he slides sideways under the truck trailer as it explodes. Amazing driving, but much prefered the 1st. Favourite part was the guy with the paintball gun shooting into the air "Point Break" style after Ken had skanked off, made me  (think Hot Fuzz)
  16. Honest John?! That has to be the most retarded write up i've ever read about the Corrado.
  17. If you've spent 3k on it since you bought it and plan to sell it on without a charger, then i reckon you'll be lookin at a big loss financially. I'd be tempted to take the opportunity to stick a better (than standard) charger on it, accept the loss of the old one and forget about the new rocco. Already see almost as manys as golfs now, common as muck! Plus it can't need THAT much more doing having had 3k chucked at it recently??! 2p :D
  18. Looks like one hell of a tasty colour! :luvlove: One question, how the hell have you afforded all this aged only 16?! Looking forward to seeing more updates soon... 8)
  19. Not much help, but I'd be interested to hear opinions on this, as mine is pretty much the same...
  20. Replaced the Idle Pulley at the same time as the Timing Belt on my old 16v. Worth doing while it's in bits.
  21. Looks like a nice one, enjoy!
  22. Are they still available from the dealers?
  23. :salute: Cheers Toad, i'll sleep tonight now.
  24. It sits on top of the drivers side rear wheel arch, underneath the carpet, and is enclosed in a split block of foam type stuff, held down with a metal strap which in turn bolts down to the boot floor (mines missing the retaining nut anyone got one spare? lol). Noticed it today when de-chavving the rear end, and putting my all reds back in their rightful place. :D
