The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...
mattnorgrove replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
i know theres a thread on it, but for a quick reply for you, how much and where from? I paid £55 for them from someone on here, I think you can get the same parts I got for £75 off Ebay though... THE best money I've spent on the VR so far... -
Definately gotta get rid!

The "what I did to my Corrado today" thread...

Yesterday anyway, fitted the new Lupo wipers. Massive improvement. 8) -
What no 'wing of bat, eye of newt..etc'? Ha! I thought exactly that ( :cuckoo: ) when I was trying to sort mine, but, it worked! Does sound a bit black magic though I admit! :D :D
-
Try disconnecting the positive terminal on the battery, tapping it 5 times on the positive contact then reconnecting. This cured mine in my old valver when it froze totally... Worth a shot... :)

I think the lettering has to have a certain amount of border too. Could be wronger than a wrong thing though...

Quality thread Dinkle! Have you wired the 3rd fan stage to a switch on the dash then? I'd be interested in doing just that, cos if there's one thing I'm paranoid about, it's high coolant temps! Cheers!!1! :D

Sometimes I just wish the C was a bit nippier :(
mattnorgrove replied to Jim's topic in General Car Chat
Jim, you've owned a few C's in your time no? Complete the set and get a VR! Look how much Cazza's just went for! Get in there whilst the going's good and fall in love with the C again! Wouldn't part with mine (Vera :luvlove: ) for the world. -
23mm nut, large spline IIRC... Think all Rado splines are the same (large type), I put a late G60 wheel in my old early valver...

Cazza's Storm- Gone :( ...S3 Has Arrived! :)

Kinda cool IMO, fair play Cazza, judging by some of the replies, your braver than me for posting up your new purchase... :D -
!!!!!

Welcome!! R32 with throttle bodies?! PICS! And list the spec! Looks great in your avatar, what rims are those?
-
Seems a reasonable price to me, when you consider the level of detail. What size is the drawing of yours pops? A3?
-
That looks really good! Is that you C easypops? Wonder how much? (and how long it took?)
-
New girl, new C... Well that didn't go to plan :(
mattnorgrove replied to minili's topic in Members Gallery
Really looks like great example that, very 8) in white too. Addicted to it/he/she already, that's one of the best things about the C IMO, it just grabs you like no other car does. You seem well chuffed! Fingers crossed for your big end! :norty: -
I remember reading on here some time ago that you could swap one of the relays that controls the windows for a MK3 Golf item that enabled you to roll down both windows at once. Pretty sure it also gave you "one touch" closure as well as opening on them too? Anyone else read that? Or was I dreaming of the C again? :D Mark 2s have this relay In. I have ZERO ideas why the Corrado doesn't! My golf windows were awesome. I'll leave mine alone I reckon, if it aint broke and all that. My windows and sunroof shut without having to touch the switches anyway, when I get out and press the fob button.

I ordered a set of the plate surrounds from theplateman when I got my german fonts, but not using them if anyone wants em, £10 posted?

Yeah think I need to give this a go, all other Meguiar's stuff I've used has been very impressive Not Meguiars dude Mer, different company I think, but anyway: http://www.mynewcheap.co.uk/products/de ... -gel/2558/

Cheers mate, I hope one day she'll be sporting your wheel of choice, gotta be one of THE most suited rims for the C, soooo OEM+ 8)

Good old fleabay mate, search 1156 LED bulbs, I'd go for the 45 LED type ones, as the 19 LED ones which shine forward (well backward, lol) only, dont light up the whole reflector, they have a too narrow beam. I've ordered these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... :IT&ih=015 I reckon they should light the cluster up better, in all directions. bit hard to explain without seeing it. The ones i've got in now are these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2X-Car-Amber-19-L ... dZViewItem You'll see what I mean about the spread of the light if you compare the two. But if you've not done it already, you'll need a resistor soldering onto each bulb holder to get the bulb to flash at the correct rate. Without this they flash on/off way too fast. Resistor kit: http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/home.php?cat=656

I used Mer Bumper & Trim Cleaning Gel, from Halfrauds, silicone free so doesn't fade after a couple of days. Did mine 3 weeks ago and everything is still black as black. Excellent stuff and smells good too! :D Looks like snot though...

Both sides are very gloss, just the left lamp is reflecting the sky as opposed to reflecting the house. Gonna get some better pics up when she's had the Dodo treatment. Used Simoniz clear laquer (£7 Halfrauds) and Savage tint. Both very good. Fitted 19 way LED bulbs with resistors on the bulb holder, work a treat but the beam pattern is too narrow, ordered some 45 way LED wide angle jobs to replace them, and give a "fuller" flash. The flash is still orange though so pleased with that. Cheers! Cheers mate, my originals are up for sale now if ya fancy having a go yourself? :D That'd be good mate thanks. Gotta lose the height on mine, but only want to pay out once, so want to make sure I go for the right kit 1st time. Cheers mate, she seems to be a peach so far (touches wood) Worlds apart from my last C, hard to believe they're the same model!

Quick update, been busy this week, cleaning sanding, wet n drying, tinting, and laquering a set of standard rears.... The result... Tidies the rear end up nicely. Big thanks to whoever wrote the wiki guide! :D Coming soon, Audioscape, MB Quart 6.5"s and a Genesis Profile 4 (Seen a factory refurbed for £159!)
