So do these from Halfords fit perfectly to the existing glass (i.e. you cant see the old glass underneath)? Cheers

Jim, could it be temp sensor/sender related? Just a thought, as you don't mention having changed them, could it be that the engine is perfectly happy, but reporting incorrectly to the guages?

Well Vera went in yesterday, and I spent an hour watching nervously as the tester did his stuff. The only things I was worried about were the emissions, and the rear lights (red tint) Emissions were well within the limits, but he spent an age looking at the rear indicators flash :| So anyway she passed with flying colours (well, a few advisories) 1. Rear indicators discoloured (hehe) 2. Slight wear in the upper steering column bearing (how serious is that? And how simple to put right?) 3. Fuzzy beam pattern on passenger side headlamp All in all i'm well chuffed! Just gotta put the German plates back on now! So thought I'd share my joy with you all! TTFN!

I sold the original wheels, so unless I find a cheap set, the wheels will go with my Golf :( No interest in my car yet as I think it's priced too high, so won't be getting rado'ed up in a hurry! There's always a set fo MKIV alloys kicking around on evilbay, then you could sell me your Comps. :D

Yep, my VR steams up really well in the rain, and the screen vents do bugger all to clear it, I reckon I can fart harder than my number 4 fan speed. Might have the glove box out to see if the blower ducts are all marrying up still??

Good luck with the search mate, and keep hold of the TT Comps you got on the MKIV, in my opinion, they look quite the part on a VR6, and are a direct fit. Oh, and welcome! :D

Mate, your C was the reason I got into them a few years back and has been one of my favourite red C's since then. As has already been said, I think you're barmy parting with it after the work you've put into it, but if you gotta do it then you gotta do it. For god's sake though don't break it! Try to hold out for the price you want and sell as a whole. It would be a crying shame to see a C this good being dismembered for bits. :( Anyway good luck, whatever happens. :) Matt.

3corsa mine looked exactly like Hub's in the photo above.

I bought one of these off the very same seller, for my old valver, it was way too big so I cut off all the extra that just wasn't needed down the sides, a bit at a time so as not to feck the whole thing up. Fitted perfectly in the end. Just need to take your time trimming it down. Got a pic of it fitted somewhere if you need.

Another vote for ya mate, please don't ask me to vote again though, that would involve seeing the other entrants again, and my eyes won't take it a second time...
