What about a trusty Lupo, they are cheap as chips these days, and the diesels run forever! Nice little daily driver with VW build quality. I had one for my first car and Id definately recommend them. 8)

ive had difficulty finding one aswell, in the end i got one from a mk3, not the same i know but they look nice. brand new one on ebay only a tenner :D

theres a company i contacted on Ebay who are selling 2007 R32 engines for £2000 -
yeah I know it is lovely :D Gonna get the D90s mirror polished (as you know marcus) plus get the delocked handles sprayed and put on. Also considering having the bumper totally smoothed ie. fogs and indicators removed. Think thats about it, should look sweet 8)

Cheers, should be getting the car back in the next few weeks as the bloke is really busy at the moment, will give me time to go down and fit the DDI dials and get the D90s sent away for a polish. Yeah was looking at the ZW1s a few weeks back but decided im just gonna clean up the D90s and stick with them for a while, cheers for the advice. :D Jamie

Yeah I know, they told me that all of the parts needed are obsolete so they had no choice but to write it off! I decided to get a cash payment instead so I can just fix it myself. Insurance companies are unbelievable!! :mad:

jamminvr6storm i saw that post on E38, thats why I asked the question on here too. To be honest I think the brake lines do fit because a few people have told me that now, although I reckon I'll be upgrading to goodrichs at the same time anyhow! :D

Yeah larger calipers with the 288s, i think the 288s and the 312s use the same size calipers though, im sure ill be corrected if im wrong :)

do you think that the benefits of 312s over 288s are worth the extra cost?

i rang him about a blackberry vr back in april, he told me to call him back the next day to organise a viewing... called him back and he said he'd sold it that morning... still kept it on his website for the next month tho, very strange :?

yeah, been sat looking at the car for a while and i think its the final touch that it needs, you think that redrilling and siliconing the holes afterwards would be okay? gettin the handles delocked aswell, although still need to get the alarm sorted before i fit em. was lookin at your detailing post on E38, rivage lookin good! vr6storm, you know where i could get hold of US spec panels?

do the 288s fit the corrado brake lines or did you upgrade to braided items whilst you were at it?

running 16x8 D90s at the mo, would these take 312s? did you get yours from a mk3 vr?

Gonna upgrade the brakes on the rado shortly, just wondered what the most common way of doing this was, dont want to break the bank on some brembos! KADVR6 mentioned the 288s from the mk3 vr6 are a good upgrade. what you think? jamie

Cars in the bodyshop at the mo getting some repair work done and have been toying with the idea of smoothing out the indicators and fogs while its there. Just wanted to know what people have done about relocating the indicators, thought about drilling inbetween the headlights and fitting them there, are there any alternatives? jamie
