  1. 17x8 shouldn't be any problem, might need the rear arches rolling to get the 9's on though depending on the offset :?
  2. I think Aberdeen is one of, if not, the cheapest place in the UK. Its the oil capital of Europe so I dont think we pay the premium for transporting the fuel over long distances....
  3. Just been reading the post on the fuel shortages next week and it got me thinking, I wonder what the variation in fuel prices is like across the UK. I'll start.... Aberdeen Super Unleaded 96.9 @ Shell Unleaded 93.9 @ Shell Seems reasonably cheap, was paying 99.9@Shell in Wakefield for my Optimax. :(
  4. id get blackberry or porsche anthracite, i love those colours! :)
  5. ive also got D90s with the original porsche centre caps, fully mirror polished :D
  6. I'd hardly say the link between Porsche and VW is tenuous, the porsche 914 and 914-6 were made in partnership with the two companies, the Cayenne uses exactly the same chassis as the Touareg and Porsche own 30.9% of VW. Then again.... you didnt know that or you wouldnt have made such a ridiculous comment. :?
  7. Anyone know the PCD on a Golf Mk3 2.0 8v? cheers
  8. or you could try innocently getting on a tube train, that way they'll notice you.... run after you.... and SHOOT you in the head 6 times. :?
  9. good work. Nice to see a car back on the road that would have been destined to rust in a forgotten corner of a forgotten scrapyard :(
  10. As far as I know this is the book they use in mechanical colleges to teach apprentices before they get let loose on real engines. Like I say, its easy to read and theres loads of diagrams to use as reference. Im sat here grinning like a cheshire cat because I finally know what a camshaft does lol :)
  11. Im sure im not the only person on the forum who doesnt really have a clue about car mechanics. Sometimes I sit reading posts about compressions ratios, valve seat replacement and blablabla, Im sat staring blankly at the laptop. :? Well I bought a book yesterday called 'Hilliers Fundamentals of Motor Vehicle Technology' and Ive sat reading it most of the day. All I can say is that I really recommend this book, I now understand so much more about my Corrado and engines in general than before. Costs about £15 off amazon, its written in plain english and has good diagrams along with the text. Infact heres a link http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hilliers-Fundamentals-Motor-Vehicle-Technology/dp/0748780998
  12. I cant believe the level of stereotyping going on here!? Could it not be possible that some people buy them simply because like them, in the same way we like Corrados? I mean come on.... 'SUVs are for rich stupid sheep?' Utter Ignorance.
  13. I quite like it, should provide some competition for the Cayenne S and Turbo. :)
  14. looks nice on the TH lines! I love silver Cs :)
  15. Indeed, plus I dont think I could ever sacrifice the ROAR! :D
  16. thats brutal, surely it would be more economical to just do a low miler 20v transplant? :?
  17. where did you get your rebuild done skinnyman9000? I think thats next on my list with the C, want to get the chains and tensioner done some time soon with the car hitting 150k a few weeks ago so I think I might just get the job lot. Did the £1000 include parts and labour? Im not a very mechanical type but I know that the car would benefit from some new internals, its starting to get a bit tappety now... What exactly does a full rebuild entail? :?
