  1. Hi All - Just found this on ebay and wanted your thoughts http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Keyless-Entry-sys ... 286.c0.m14 Anyone have any idea how this would work with the standard fit scorpion alarm/remote locking stuff? Ta in advance Jack
  2. That's what I thought too but from the description they looked a bit wide - 9.75J Didn't know if that would fit under a standard arch that wasn't lowered?
  3. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT anyone?
  4. Hi Mate If you have any left can I have one please? Ta Jof

  6. honestly - which would you rely on a sign saying not fit for motor vehicles of a satnav system that said turn left here?
  7. I'ts been a looooong time since I used TSR - had a mk1 golf from them years back that they also did some work on. They were fantastic then - knowledgable, friendly, happy to give good advice for free etc, not cheap but worth it for their experience. IIRC went downhill after Tim left but rumor has it they've re-openned with a lot of the original staff, and I do recall a guy called ross was the workshop manager or something back in the good days so probably worth talking to them some more to see how the land lies. Back in my mk1 days they were the Daddies HTH Jof
  8. 110 seems slightly high but surely about right fo lots of stop-start driving? For the oil light my first port of call would be the oil pressure sensor (after checking the oil level of course!)
  9. a mate had exactly the same prob and solved it just like spongebob
  10. confession time - I unplugged mine to see what would happen and nothing did - thankfully have now got over my inquisitive stage though

    Overheating

sounds like a dodgy thermostat to me
  13. more than likely a short in the circuit somewhere as previously mentioned - might be worth getting the door cards off and having a look for a worn wire or something
  14. If it's for a 16v (and if it's the same as a mk2 golf) just unclip, move the top gubbins out of the way. remove the filter and push it off from inside the box usinf a flatblade 'driver if neccessary
  15. I felt like a kid on xmas eve the night before picking my 'Rado up. The 170 mile drive home was definately worth it tho! Good luck with the car Chick and welcome - excellent forum! Cheers Jof
  16. You'd probably want to rig a bit of cold air ducting to it tho
  17. Pipercross to a kit that replaces the entire bottom of the airbox with a big filter. Had one on a mk1 GTI and it sounded great - not too roary like drilling but a bugger to clean. They list aplications for golfs - big box or small box, not sure if it would fit a rado - are the boxes the same? Cheers Jof
  18. Just got back from the stealers and the alarm and parts are now obsolete Any reccommendations for a cheapish aftermarket job that does total closure? Cheers Jof
  19. are these uk legal? cheers Jof
