  1. Jeeze, how cheap is fuel you're way?!!! Tesco's 99 seems to fluctuate in Cardiff from anything between 96.9 - 99.9.
  2. I drove one of them last week. It was the big coupe version not the estate but was a T5. Don't know much about these but the lad said they have 255bhp as standard. He's had it re-mapped to 315bhp. What a flyer it was  At first i was driving down a straight road thinking hmmmmmm, not as quick as the GT4 (same power) i had, then i thought sod it, and mashed the throttle into the carpet    I've never felt a car as huge as that take off like a scalded moggy. Very impressive. He said the mpg has improved too. There wasn't a hint of a rattle, squeak or creak in the cabin, it had full beige leather, all the toys, huge T5 alloys and had 85k on the clock. Not bad for £5500.
  3. Shame they didn't have the sense to read the reg plate out or better still have a phone able to pick out the plate. They wouldn't have had a leg to stand on then.
  4. I've got one of those frosted circular wolfsburg edition stickers from fleabay in my back window and like it!!  Got D90's too but have never fitted them. Think i might now and keep the porsche centre caps on!
  5. I actually got pulled over with the copper on foot!! I had just finished a night shift and was parking up outside my house when he strolled over and duly informed me it was an offence to drive with front fog lights on. "Is it? Oh"!!!! :D Got pulled over (blue lights this time) for the same reason yeeeeears ago in my Uno Turbo. Did i just admit that out loud? Anyway, i watched him tailing me knowing full well i was going to get tugged for the fog lamps so i switched them off. Sure enough the blue lights flickered so i pulled in. Not before turning the foggies off first though. He walked over to the shoe box on wheels Sheriff stylee, and whilst curling his index finger beckoned me to the front of the car exclaiming the offence for driving with fogs and sidelights on. I said i wasn't (didn't go down to well) to which he pointed at the fogs and said "Explain that then"? Of course i had already switched them off! All he could muster was "Er well, they were on a minute ago". All i mustered was "Italian electrics most probably" before parting company!
  6. 99.9 on every journey    Who needs a diesel!!!!!
  7. I have a Rado for sale Paul if your looking? A valver like yours in Burgandy Pearl.
  8. I will keep an eye out for it in the Cardiff area on my night shifts tonight and tomorrow. I'll let the other shifts and neighbouring stations know to keep an eye out too. Gutted for you.
  9. My mate drove a 225 last week and liked it, saying it was fast, but he did say you needed to rev the nads of it as there was no low down torque. I have sat in one and blipped the throttle. Have to agree with the above on the engine note. They really don't sound like engines as we know them. Rather quiet really and a tad thin sounding.
  10. Hi there. Well you will be punting out more boost/power with a stage 4, but on the flip side the service intervals for the charger will be greatly reduced depending on what size pulley the charger is running. I read on a post somewhere that the service intervals for the G-Lader are :- Standard pulley every 45k. 68mm pulley every 30k. 65mm pulley every 20k. I'm no expert on all things supercharged and i may be corrected on the above info, however one thing i have noticed on this forum is that the best advice for a new G60 owner with no evidence of when the charger was last rebuilt or serviced is to have the charger looked at and/or serviced by G-Werks as a matter of course/peace of mind.
  11. Thanks all for all the replies. :)
  12. Cheers RS. I think i need to do some serious bodging to get the thing to fit.
  13. Your symptom at 35mph sounds exactly like mine when the front engine mount was goofed.
  14. I'm not sure what make it is, i won it on ebay. But it does appear to be fibreglass though. There doesn't seem to be much overlap in the middle of the grille to stick it to the slam panel though. The only place it seems to be able to attach to is the headlights. So i think i'm going to need some very good tape. WAYNOS....where did you get that sikka flex tackle from and how much was it? RS VR6.....where can i get that 3m stuff and how much is it? Thanks all for the replies so far. I really want to fit this!
  15. Thanks for the reply. Where exactly did you stick the tape though? My tape was crap! I did consider self tappers but on looking there does not seem anywhere really to screw the spoiler on.
  16. I see this plate is still eluding you! Did you not trace it to a particular part of the country last time you posted the request?
  17. What is the best way to fit one? I have just tried sticking velcro to the headlamps and behind the spoiler and the end result would not look as though it would handle 30mph, let alone motorway speeds  I then tried double sided permanent sticky strips, and again, to much movement. :( A safe/secure method would be greatly appreciated :)
  18. Good info. Wish he was closer to Cardiff though!
  19. Well this is what VW say anyway and they will always understate what it actually is. At the last RR day my completely standard 9a made 147bhp. Thats awesome!
  20. Jeeze man, if you think you look old at 33 in a C then you'll look a complete fogey in a Z! I'm 33 to and ok, i have thought the same. But i just love sports cars to much and can't ever see myself in an average boring car. Why should we drive around in 4 door saloons just because society thinks we look daft in anything merely hinting at sporty? Enjoy your C and forget what you think you look like driving it :D
  21. VEEDUBBED...what are the matched doner parts i would need to fit the 1992 rack to my 1990 car? :)
