Corrado VR6 or.....Lotus Elan M100???? Opinions?
Slimg60 replied to drunkenmunkey's topic in General Car Chat
A guy I work with has one and took me out in it. It was ok, reasonably quick but very agile through corners. The interior of this one was pretty poor and rattled loads. Not sure I could live with it everyday as it was a awkward to get in/out of, but as a weekend weapon it would be a lot of fun. -
Top quality work :salute:

Looks amazing, very impressive results. -
Sorted, turns out Haltec doesnt like Tesco 99.
-
the engine is running Haltec E6H management.

I i think it's for the ignition timing, +/-7 degree's I think.
-
I have one the for adjusting boost, as it was on Simon's car. The timing adjustment was something additional that was put on during the swap.

My engine was mapped with a tank of BP ultimate and it ran sweet. Yesterday I had to put in Tesco 99 and since then it's started to stutter a little. When my engine was fitted I had a knob installed to allow me adjust the timing. Can I adjust the timing to compensate for this fuel? Am I right in thinking I should retard it slightly? I'm only asking as I dont waant to prat around with it and break something. Cheers Slim

Lincolnshire police have a 3.2 Audi A3 Quattro but never heard of them having an R32 I've heard that they only keep cars for about 6-9months.

:pale: Very thought provoking

Yer James is a top bloke. Didnt charge me the full amout for labour as it'd taken him longer than he'd thought, brought my old G60 engine off me to save me having to sell it and even washed my car whilst it was there as she was a little dirty. Sub11 comes highly recommended

Jesus  Would they even physically fit under 17s?

Whilst I'll be glad to see him racing again, as he really is a great driver, I dont think it's the right thing to do. He retired from the sport at the right time whilst he was the best. It would be like Joe Calzaghe returning to boxing and getting chinned, it would ruin his legendary career. (although his dancing has done a pretty good job  ) Still, roll on the 2010 session :D

His address is: 62, Second Drove, Fengate, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire PE1 5XA I think it's near the Greyhound track, although I dont know Peterborough that well. His Mk2 Golf run a 10.6 Video

Thats the problem, no matter how carefully you drive, some moron without the same consideration can always get you.
-
I thought I'd big up the place that recently fitted my new engine. Run my James Hodson (ex Jabbasport), he really know his stuff. Has build a 10.6 second Mk2 golf Located in Peterborough, I'd recommend him if your local. website here Thanks to Simon for pointing me in his direction, certainly be using him in future. :salute:

I saw this in Lincoln the other week, not sure if it's local or just visiting but it's the only time I've seen it here
-
Few pictures I took last weekend after I washed her, over xmas it's time to clean up the engine bay, un-tint the fog lights and give the inside a good clean
-
Not sure but that garage has less sets of wheels than yours
