Well I think I've lost the love for her. I dont seem to have the same passion as i used to, plus I'm commuting further now and it costing a fortune in petrol. I'm really gutted that this time has come but i'd much rather she went to someone who'll enjoy her more. i'm going to get a couple of bit s of bodywork sorted and then start writing the for sale add. :(

There's a hole in the slam panel and a 3rd screw down there, holds the bottom of the light on. if you look down from the top you should see it.

it's drivable but expect to see a loss of performance and econamy, and an increase of noise :D

Have you crossed the connections over? ie heater window loom plugged onto fog light switch and vice versa :shrug:

It could be the fuse (I cant remember which number it is) if the pump isn't priming, or the pump itself is fudged. Alternativly check the ecu plug, as this provides the earth for the relay and would cause the relay not to operate.

I've noticed recently that the cooling system isn't pressurising. If I gently squeeze the the top hose from the rad I can hear a "gasping/gurgle" from the expantion tank, it's coming from the small square holes on the side, under the plastic cover. It's a new bottle with a new blue cap too so I'm puzzled as to what is going on. Temp seems fine, running about 90, if a little cooler sometimes. Oil has been a bit warmer than normal recently too, but I'm fitting a mocal to combat this. Any ideas whats causing?? :shrug: Cheers Slim

A perfect example of staying calm and doing the right thing, I think many in that situation would have probably smashed on the brakes.

Did the pedal stay on the floor? or did nothing happen when when you pressed the pedal and it returned back up?

Firstly I have searched and only confused myself more. I had a slight coolant leak from the plastic right angle at the top of my radiator, taken the pipe off of it (held on by 2 bolts) and it is cracked. :( I always thought this was the thermostat housing, but having removed it there is no thermostat inside :shrug: So my questions are: What part is broken? and should there be a stat in there? you have to weigh up the pro's and cons. Whilst you will save with 3PFT, there are a LOT of un-insured drivers out there, so a good fully comp policy will help protect that way. :shrug: Can you not lower your excess? it might make fully comp more favourable?

Yer I like the Borbets too, wouldn't mind getting some 9's for the rear but as I use her daily for work I need to factor in practicality now too :( Still, not buying wider wheels will mean I have more money to spend in other places :D

That is really weird. Do you travel faster on long trips? Perhaps it's the increase in wind resistance drag at higher speed thats causing it? And the engine having to work a little harder to push against the drag? :shrug: Other than that I'm stumped
