The car goes in monday to get the new intercooler fitted, so i should have it back midweek when I'll be able to get you pictures dude I have pics of when I fitted the td5 one though.

Ah cool, thanks for the rapid reply so it's not as easy as just polishing them and leaving them?

I fancy polishing the lip on my borbets. When I first brought them they had lost a bit of lacqur had peeled a bit, so I sprayed them up quick as I needed to use them. Is it just a simple case of stripping this paint off, and getting to work with metal polish and elbow grease? Or is there more to it? Cheers Slim

yer kinda exited about it now, it's the first unique work I've had done to her, everything else has been off the shelf parts. I was a little concerned about putting the intercooler behind the grill as it might block some air to the radiator, until he pointed out that the TD5 one effectivly covers the whole rad practically. Pics will be up as soon as I get home, I might see if he can take some during the build too. I should have a price too when I pick the car up so will get all that information into the GB thread and see what interest there is.

I've delt with both and they've both been fine, but agree that Jabba is moving more towards the 1.8t/TDi market now.

Bit gutted about last night's show, whilst the ken block bit was truely awesome, they took so much more film during the day, and used the herc a lot more than they showed.

Mine had a universal one fitted when i first got my corrado. The guy who'd owned it before had shaped it to fit perfectly. I think a universal one will be fine as long as you shape it to sit flush against the pillar.

Since the love has been re-found i though it was time i spent even more money on this baby! So she's booked in on monday 13th for a new intercooler. the TD5 on has made her lose some of the punch the charger gave. The new one is going behind the grill, slightly set off to the left. I'm just hoping the grill will still fit as i think an exposed intercoller is a bit "jap" :camp: Pics to follow of the new fit, and hopefully a group buy on fabricated rallye U bends, the place i'm taking it are making me one.

Should there be a bar type brace underneath the charger? I've just taken my car in to get it measured up for my new intercooler and he said that last G60 he saw had a bar underneath that went to the block? Am I missing something? And is it important?

Cheers Yan, me too. I made a deliberate point of coming the long way home tonight, just to drive it a little more and on different roads. I think I'd just grown into the habit of getting into it, driving to work, having a :censored: day then driving home, and not driving anywhere else.

when I've run my car on tesco 99 I've always felt it feels worst than regular 95 :shrug: It does feel loads better on other 99ron fuels

I think she's staying, I took her out today and found a lovely flowing road, first time I've had fun in her for a while. I think that having just driven to work and back I'd forgotten how much fun it could be and how great that noise is with the windows down :D Decided to spend more money on her too :norty: Stopped off at a place to ask about intercoolers too, he's going to change my td5 one for a smaller unit, mounted higher up, just behind the grill. He said he will be fabricating a Rallye style u bend, and that if it is successful on my car would be interested in doing a group buy on them.

I'd like to boast that the clip of ken block with the hercules in the back ground, I was in that Herc! :D

Baz have you not found a replacement yet? I feel quite bad now knowing your cars sat there seatless. Well Yanards asked first, but baz need seats, there's only one way to solve this........FIGHT :D

I'm half tempted to put a smaller intercooler on to get some of the punch back as it has lost some of it's kick since fitting the td5 one. I went out yesterday down to Norwich and when I wasnt stuck behind traffic on the A17 it was fun.

Did you have the polo whilst I was at Coningsby? I cant remember seeing you around? Was I talking to you on the gate when you were on guard? I've thought about getting a cheap deisel, but dont really have the room for 3 cars, maybe if I could get a bay in the motor club I might try keep her.
