  3. yeah i was going to say race power :D
  4. i always use quatum synta, the silver bottle. nice and cheap from GSF and keeps the engine running nice, i ve tried magnatec and mobile 1 but from my experience it make the engine quite tappy, perhaps because there very thin :?
  5. what liquid is best to use in the charge cooler?
  6. looks good, i like the way the sensor sits in the top of the charge cooler and the isv re-route, hows the chargecooler surported? are there any brackets holding it in place or are the hoses strong enough to hold it in place. where abouts did you get your catch tank from? did you notice any improvements fitting the chargecooler?

    g60 vacum

i am just building my engine up and was woundering about the vacuum hoses as well i ve worked my way through it but theres a couple i am not sure about, any help or corrections would be great on the inlet manifold - small hose to fpr, big hose to brake servo, other hose to isv. on the throttle body i have 2 connections one i guess goes to the ecu (1 metre), and one which i am not sure of perhaps goes to the clocks, if i am not using g60 clocks could i use this for a boost gauge? is there any others i have missed? thanks
  9. How much power do you want? dont forget its only FWD
  10. yeah they are rare, not many vw that we get have them fitted, think its just a couple of the newer models, are the quite easy to get hold of in the US?
  11. Had a simular problem on my old 16v, going into second gear, worn syncromesh? quite common i think
  12. just a 2.0 8v and 2.0 16v to go and you ll have the complete collection :D Are they all insured on seperate policies? or do you have some kind of special policy? if you keep going at this rate you will be able to open a corrado muesem
  13. yer i guess its gotta be fueling or ignition i would start by giving it a good service if u have nt had her long plugs, leads, dizzy cap, rotor arm, fuel filter, oil filter, oil etc and clean the metering head up and pipe work, should run smoother after that, and if it still does it you can iliminate those from being the prob
  14. I think the 16v's go on for ever, my old one had done over 160k and just seemed to get better and quicker the more miles it did
  15. are the 2.8 24v 4 motion engines the same as a r32 engine apart from the bore etc is it a bit like the 2.9 and 2.8 VR's, or are they completely different
  16. here is some interesting links, in german tho corrado http://www.doppel-wobber.de/m_pg.html rallye http://www.doppel-wobber.de/m_1h.html
  17. hello, it will fit on fine and it is cable change, this is the set-up i have on my engine. altho have have yet to drive it and dont know if the ratios are suited to the engine
  18. £15 sounds a lot better then £200-£300 for a made one. thanks for the help, what sort of MG was it? any sort with air con? :? have you this set-up on your car, what pump do u use? sorry for all the Q's just been looking at the car today and was thinking about using the old 16v rad mounted infront of the other, i am pretty sure it could be made to fit, but probably would nt be as effecient as the MG set-up
  19. you would have thought that. but if u look at the front cross member/radiator surport, theres a ridge that the radiator sits on, then it drops down infront of it, i was planning on mounting it here. do you know what i mean?
  20. the rallye does have a bigger intercooler. the capacity of the engine is also slightly smaller. i heard poeple say the rallye engine is stronger, but i am not sure :? i am sure theres some ppl on here who know the differences
  21.  its a lot of money to spend on a 205, but if its what he likes..... :?
  22. not got many to chose from, but this is my favourite of my old car
  23. Hi, i ve just seen yamaha R1 rad on ebay, and was woundering if it would be provide enough cooling for a charge cooler? the dimensions are 16" by 12" same height as a vr rad but not quite as long i would like a custom made one to sit on the front of the rad, but this would cost bucks, so i am looking for bargin alternatives on ebay :) a quick reponse would be great as there is not a lot of time left.
  24. is that the little sensor fed by a pipe on the end of the fuel rail?
