Nice deep dish wheels, you've either got to push those wheels in a bit or do those arches. Arches are not easy to get right though. -
Wow that paint work looking sweet. Wish I could go for a re=spray just got too many other things to sort out first. Very nice looking C! 8)

Wow this machine polishing is amazing. How much would you charge to do a whole car or what's the going rate? Nice work. -
How the rich modify their cars

Some nice looking cars though and at least the rich get to modify their cars too. -
Very cool OEM+ look for the rich and famous Wish I had the money to buy one of these cars and customise it like this. Rude! http://www.reverelondon.com/ climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf1.jpg[/attachment:a60d3] 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf2.jpg[/attachment:a60d3] 3.jpg[/attachment:a60d3]

Stealth do an excellent job but charge you for every minute spent. I went to have my car mapped earlier this year and was charged £175 for a new lamba Probe and fitting, which was 5 minutes. Can't knock their work as my map is so smooth!

Looking fantastic already Ben. Heard you were going down the race theme and thought what! But what I see so far looks amazing, excellent work. Can't wait to see this one finished. -
not sure why you're saying he should have 195 on a 7.5J wheel when that is the width for the standard valver 6.5j rim, that will be noticeably stretched. most people on 7.5 will be running 205s, on 17" this is mostly to avoid rubbing while maintaining decent sidewall height otherwise they could go 215 easily. livi1982 , if you're not looking for a stretched look on your tyres then 215/40/16 or 205/45/16 will be a better size. All depends on what kind of look you're going for, with the wheels you have a stretch is going to look sweet. If you don't want any stretch then 205/45/16 would be best.

Very nice indeed, black is so the best colour for a rado! -
STOP DRIVING YOUR CAR, you could destory a hub very easily with a wheel wobbling and if the wheel comes off well... As long as it's not touching it should be fine. I have about 5mm between mine. Yep I wouldn't listen to someone who had the wrong tyres on about whether you need spacers or not. Get some, thet are very cheap, try and get hub centric ones.
-
Wrong tyres there, you should have 195. Here's a good article about tyres and alloys http://www.torquevw.com/how_to_guides/general_alloy_wheels/general_alloy_wheels.shtml http://www.torquevw.com/how_to_guides/general_alloy_wheels/general_alloy_wheels_part2.shtml The knocking doesn't sound good, could be a few things. What suspension do you have? What spacers are you using, as you should be using at least a 3/5mm spacer? What bolts are you using?

Guys thanks for all the info, I'll definitely take a look at a Passat. I have a feeeling it's going to be too big for the wife though. I'm not too kean on the car either. I really like the looks of the Bora. I don't think we'll be doing to many miles but it needs to be cheap to run on a daily basis. Are diesel expensive on maintance and services?

herisites My pump also made a lot of noise for a while then stopped. I imagine this has failed after reading this thread. I haven't noticed any over heating but do you think I should change this anyway? C

Hi, We published some good articles on TorqueVW covering Alloy Wheels, PCD, Offset and tyres choices. Here's the links http://www.torquevw.com/how_to_guides/general_alloy_wheels/general_alloy_wheels.shtml http://www.torquevw.com/how_to_guides/general_alloy_wheels/general_alloy_wheels_part2.shtml

Who's running Leon Brembos on a VR?
C. Will Corrado G60 2 replied to vwdeviant's topic in Drivetrain
Hi, I'm in the middle of test fitting Brembo Cupra Calipers and Leon (4 stud) 305 disc. First attempt didn't work as the brackets on the calipers were for Cupra Discs. I now have Leon brackets and hope for a good fit. I'll post what happens after the next test fit.
