I used to have one of these on my mk2, didn't realise they made a mk3 version. I found it tended to trap water behind it so it had to go. -
I found the cheapest way to to insure two cars (for driving) was to have two separate policies. If you have built up a decent NCB and it is only yourself on the second car most companies will match your NCB to the other car. Brentacre got me the best deal.

Yeah, it's exactly that. The lead mines are running out and as all the plates inside a battery are made from lead, the consequent price of batteries has gone up. And pencils  (joke). I wonder how much to change the batteries on a Prius?

Cheers :drinking:

A 6 cylinder would be great but how many people would buy one with the new road tax system?
-
Refurb kit is £15 a side so get an up to date price and compare it. The first tool you linked would do for winding back the front pistons, the second one I had no idea but the one I have is http://www.tooled-up.com/Product.asp?PID=134051

I thought the white Scirocco at E38 looked better in the flesh than any pics I've seen. Are there any nice looking new coupes for around that price?
-
you'll need a caliper windback tool. I got one from tooled up via amazon the other day for around £15.

I hate intermittent faults! Mine reads -40 but I know thats because the sensor fell off.

vwspares and gsfcarparts come to mind.

What sort of bits and pieces?
-
Mine are M12x1.5, 27179su.
-
90mm splitter on early and 50mm on late too.

Wasn't the non hump rear seat only a late option?
-
Theres quite a few subtle differences. Bonnets are a different shape ( later models have a hump rather than recess), different slam panels and wider wings and bumpers on later models. Late headlights don't have the gap between the wing, fog lights aren't recessed, side mouldings are different I think. Heater controls are slider on early and dial on late, electric window switches are different and are located in a different spot in the doorcard. Steering wheel size possibly Thats about all I can remember just now but I'm sure there are more.

I thought it was ridiculous. Evian FFS! The guy is so anal it's untrue. And he has friends!!

Is it possible to fit the 5 stud hubs, wishbones, shocks, track rods and ends, ARB, steering rack and calipers from a 16v mk3 to a kr Corrado?
-
Isn't there also a metal tab on the actual shock that rusts, snaps and then causes this problem. If it is this then a new shock is needed.

Found a link to this on another forum. This guy has some great skills. http://vwrides.com/viewtopic.php?t=43&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

Brentacre are always good for me.

http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk do bulbs and resistors. They all need resistors because their operating voltage is around 1.8V compared to the 12V of a filament bulbs they replace

I think he does, he still seems to answer a lot of posts on E38 in the HIC section.
