Seems to look new... if you know what I mean.
-
I had a similar thing happen to me a couple of years ago and its gutting, especially when your insurance goes up because somebody else decided to drive into a parked car. My mate declined his first 2 offers when his integra was written off and eventually got what he paid for the car a year earlier.

That is looking very nice. Good work! Other than Simons, yours, mine and my brothers I think I know of one other Corrado in Wishae. I don't think they post on the forum though.
-
Not really a lot that can be done to the 16v engine to improve performance cheaply.
-
Possibly LP7Z Light Grey Metallic http://www.corradoscene-ost.de/tomy/ Cracking looking car.
-
I'm sure made a couple of posts a while back which I think may have included part numbers and etka diagrams for top mounts. Sorry I can't be bothered finding them but it's been a hard day and I'm shattered but there's a start for you.
-
My girlfriend was telling me about this and it got me thinking, that could be somebody who posts on the forum and we'd be unlikely to know.

How do you go about getting this done? Mine is horrendous on fuel, doing about 50 miles to a tenner at the moment :( Unless you have the meter for measuring CO which is fairly expensive then you'll need to find a garage with the equipment. Also seems to be called Kryton tuning. Try to get a recommendation though. There is a guy around my way who is excellent and charges around £50, but I think I went through every tuner in the area before I found somebody decent.

It's worth having a look at http://www.dragonperformance.co.uk for some vids of this car, especially the one with the clutch destroying it down the strip.
-
Read about this one in Redline this month. 1/4 miles in 9.2s and 0-125 in 6.2s  Apparently the can fit bigger turbos because more exhaust gases are produced with rotarys.

I was shocked to hear this, very sad.

The KR engine is notorious for poor fuel economy, do a search and you'll find a few topics on the subject. Male sure you do a proper calculation rather than trust the MFA. The smell of fuel can be down to the type of petrol you put in with Optimax being particularly strong. Obviously check you don't have any leaks though!

It's really easy once you start, nothing to worry about at all. There are also plenty of guides on detailing world including some videos I think. It's also worth keeping an eye open for any of the open days that might be running near you where there will be demonstrations and you can ask questions or even have a go! With VW paint it's probably more difficult to make a mess than do a good job.

If you take some the laquer off you will end up with a small dull patch which doesn't look too good at all. The guys that use depth gauges (appro £500 IIRC) are generally PCing other peoples cars and don't want to make a balls up. Most problems occur when a car has previously been resprayed or has had a lot of machine polishing before. Some manufacturer don't put a lot of paint on at the factory either but VW are fine.

Looking forward to seeing this, it's looking good!

nice one, some big plans there!

Looks great!

I'm sure I've read somewhere (probably clubgti) that a couple of parts at the front fit but not the full system.

I seen that red G60 again tonight in, would you believe it Chatlerault! Keep your eyes peeled, even my girlfriend has commented on how many seem to be about.
-
That's strange, I've seen quite a few recently about wishaw. A red G60 no plate G** XEE on saturday. I can't believe yours was the only Corrado at Chatlerault last week!
-
Turns out the wires going into the resistor pack were the wrong way around making the blower turn the wrong way so therefore no air through vents.
-
I used it on a kjet 8v Golf a few years back. I just detached the bottom part of the airbox, lifted up the top part and sprayed. IIRC lots of stuff came out the exhaust and seemed to run slightly better afterwards, no huge difference though.
-
I bought my springs from Europerformance who were very good although if your not sure what top order you'd be better speaking to a company used to vw's. Definitely get the top mounts from your dealers.

I haven't been able to get air through my windscreen vents so I checked the broken selector cog and no matter which way I moved it I still couldn't get it to work although you could here something moving in the heater box. I then unplugged the connector from the blower motor and reconnected it upside down. Now I get air through the vents but only on number 3 whereas before it worked on all numbers. Swapping the connector back around and the blower works on 1-4 but won't put air though vents. ANy ideas?
