Rears, open to offers on these.
-
So who are the best to approach as I might be doing this with mine soon? I was with Footman James a few years back.
-
Wheels are all on and managed to give it a quick wash. Feels good and very minimal rubbing at the front which I can live with on the liner. Only went couple miles down the road but everything feels fine.
-
Some quick photos. Will get photos of the rear. Note that was a quick dust of not a proper clean.
-
Okay managed to get a quick trial on the front with 15mm spacers fitted which takes them to et33 so shouldn't have any issues. They sit spot on. The wheels have a very small chamfer on the inside bore so its proving hard to find any spacers that work with them. Im opening up the chamfer to help with this so hopefully get all 4 wheels on over the weekend and give it a clean.
-
Sorry folks keep meaning to get photos. Need to clean them up and get photos at the weekend.
-
New finish set on german ebay for about £4k IIRC.
-
Was going to say that seems very well priced.
-
Welcome, indeed this is the best place you could have come. Whats the story behind the car?
-
I'll get photos later. I believe around 25k miles.
-
These were taken of my car as I changed to AP coils purely to get a lower height. TBH the koni kit was a slightly better ride. All in reasonable condition apart from one of the rear shocks is leaking so would need replaced. I also have some lowering front caps fitted which even out the drop a little more. There all top adjustable and I have the tool for that. Looking for £115 for the lot. Might split out the springs and shocks if people want spares. I'll get some photos later.
-
Yeah its trial and error with wheels and height, the beauty of having coils. Was it the actual arch or the liners that rubbed though. I can deal with slight liner rub but not metal arch rub.
-
Trial fit last night. Wont clear the 288mm brakes without spacers and my 10mm don't fit. I think I'll try 15mm on the front as they will still sit further in that an 8in et35 wheel so should have any issues. Went with red sticker caps to see if I like them. Note car is very dirty in the photo.
-
Ive been on hols for a couple of weeks but a friend managed to get some tyres on them for me. Hoping to get them on this week. Going to try with red centre caps first.
-
It fits....I know what to do if the RS gets written off.
-
Yes, its a stonker of an engine. Sounds awesome as well.

Naturally you will regret having sold it for sure, I regret selling the red VRT but looked at it as an opportunity to try something else and there was a reason for selling. As soon as it breaks if you buy it back you'll soon be cursing yourself for buying it back. Corrado prices are going up but not to the point that they will be unattainable. If you have a hankering for an older Porsche then they are getting to the point where the prices are making them unattainable. What Im saying is you will be able to get back into a Corrado for sure so if you want to try something else then go for it. If the person that has it isn't actively selling just ask them to get in touch when or if they do come to sell and in the meantime go try something else.

If your looking at things like that how about a 2.7TT from various Audis' Its a fairly compact engine and you could look at single turbo kits. Easily get 400bhp+ out of them. There a few folks putting them in Boxsters now. Main thing would be gearbox to figure out.
-
You'd be surprised, pick the right one and its more than about the power. They are just honed so well you don't need loads of power to got fast. No more FWD power understeer as well.
-
2.5tfsi.....
-
TBH that's why I bought them plus they cost quite a bit so would be daft to sell.
-
Wheels arrived today. Still in the original finish which is still good so I'm going to leave them as they are. There very light!
-
That was my initial thoughts as well so will just go with instinct.
-
Thanks, I did put reps on my old 24v green one and really liked them but I knew it had to be the real deal this time. Im really going to struggle on the colour though. I think there need to be a distinction between face and rim but I don't want to go to dark and loose the detail of the wheel. Then there centre caps, black and gold, black and silver, red and gold, red and silver, chrome.......ahhhhhh Initial thought was a very light grey with red and silver caps with calipers done red to match. Ive already go carbon/silver caps and there obviously coming with black/silver.

BBS LM 090, 7.5x17in et48, 5x100. I'll look into maybe reverse facing them if I think its legit. Many people have done it but I want to be sure myself. That will reduce et to around 36 so no need for spacers and deeper dish.
