Here they are, getting sent today. Reckon I might redo the faces in a light grey like audi quartz grey or the usual BBS light gold as I reckon it will tie in with the orange indicators etc.

Lol I know having visited Bupdapest but the company deals in euro's. Just so happens to be based in Hungary.

Okay since the car is staying I have another set of wheels on the way. The design is nothing unusual or funky but I cant wait to get them and spruce them up a little before fitting. Should hopefully get them later next week all the way from Hungary, lol. This did mean paying in euros' which was painful at todays exchange rate.

Yeah I had to do that on my old car and it worked, only for a while then ripped out the alarm completely.
-
So its intermittent? Could be tappet if its not been used for a while. Did you drive it at all and did it go away?

I had a 911 996 C4s for around a year and only sold it as we needed money for house building work. I love the Corrado's but 911 is a totally different league IMO. You can tell where the 40 years of development has gone. They just feel like a proper sports car. I like my current car but if I could swap for a 911 again Id do it in a heartbeat.

That's nice, C2 I take it? IMO I'd hold on to that. -

If I'm available I could meet for the day, always up for a good dad driving up here. What's the route around Aberdeenshire?

Swapped some H&R ones from my RS4. Bought new some MTEC but they didn't fit over hubs.

You should try a breathed on B5 then....:)

Not so sure, had a chat with the wife and she said keel it and the blast today reminded me why I like them. Will think about it over the weekend.

B5 98-01 S4 and RS4 are V6 twin turbo. B6 S4 V8 4.2 na B7 RS4 V8 4.2 na B8 S4 V6 supercharged B8 RS4 V8 4.2 na Nice car, they sound great. Has it been decoked recently? I was at a RR day with about 10 of these and not one of them were on standard power due to head coking. Most were around 380bhp so its good to get it done.

A little bouncy but so much more stable than before with the knackered rear shock. Had a good blast home from work and was having 2nd thoughts on selling.
-
So new brakes fitted and got the coils on. It was a little to low so raised it slightly today and gave it a good wash and 15mm rear spacers fitted.
-
Thanks, yeah I asked AP and its an M10 x 1 so a fine thread. I'll get some of them.

Folks, got my set last night and fitted the although Im not so sure on the bolt arrangement on the rear. The shocks came with two nuts at the top and on the koni stuff I took of there was 3 nuts. So basically I removed one of the nuts to use for holding down the upper top mount and there is nothing to now hold down the metal plate at the top of the shock. The nuts used in the Koni stuff are too big. I asked DPM and they said its correct they only come with two nuts. What have folks done when fitting these coilovers, I cant remember having this issue when fitting the first set a few years back?
-
Okay this could be back up for sale. Ive just replaced the rear brakes and its getting brand new AP coilovers fitted this week as well. BBS RC's are sold so std wheels. I'll try get some better photos over the weekend but anyone interested get in touch.

They'll look a lot worse that they actually are once cleaned up. If you can get in there and give a few whacks with a hammer as well. try get some Plusgas and use that instead of WD40. Ive also in the past poured hot water from a kettle on them heat and vibration always help break out bolts etc.

Any decent mechanic or garage should be able to handle it I think.
