If its shuddering through steering wheel it does suggest a mechanical issue rather than ABS. Drive the car for a while and check the caliper temps. If one side is hot and the other not then maybe a sticking caliper. Were the pads changed with the discs?

Okay bit bored at work so thought Id put some details on the other current cars in the fleet. 1st is the Rs4, had this coming up for about 5 years now. Love it to bits, best car Ive ever had by a country mile and it will never be sold. Mildly tuned to around 480bhp and takes the abuse in its stride. Currently sitting on some 9.5x19in wheels but I think I'll go back to standards wheels again. 2nd I bought about 3 months ago. T5 Shuttle 2.5 130tdi with rear bench removed. Should have bought one years ago, again its brilliant and just so handy. Swallows anything Ive thrown at it. Its actually quite fun to drive. Not done much but hoping to lower it and remap then get some banded steels wheels on. Its the daily driver now and family car.

Not so keen on the blue interior light, I like my dull ones lol. Where did you get your rear light tint film? Might try it out as Laminx seems to have disappeared.

I would agree sounds more like its the system issue. Have you checked calipers are working correctly? Juddering is generally a build up of pad material if you haven't actually warped them which I doubt by the sounds of it. Have you checked if one side is getting warmer than the other to indicate sticking calipers. Id get them off and give them a good clean, slider pins pads area etc etc.

Had a think and I'll leave them. They are nice but not quite what Id like. Pretty much set on 17's and 5x100 bolt on with no adaptors or spacers required.

Im back again. 18months of a gap and Im happy to be back in one with no rose tinited specs.
-
Sorry I meant the rims are bare alloy i.e. not lacquered?
-
Yeah get some photos up. I take it the rims bare then? Whats the overall offsets?

I found a set of these in my stuff last night, JOM ones though. Do they work with VR springs?
-
Thanks, probably a bit too much work needed for me. Would prefer something to plug and play. Cool, let me know roughly what you think you would be looking for them. PM if you want. Send me some details on spec, tyres and price please.
-
Considering anything really but nothing with too much bling or hard motorsport look. CH's would be a yes for example but not something like an OZ Ulltralegga style.
-
Ive got the std wheels in good condition with tyres so don't need 15's. Thanks.
-
9.5in rears are going to be too wide for me, thanks.
-
There sold, had them before as well. Ideally looking for something Ive not had before (I know that's going to be difficult....lol).
-
July, to be fair they looked okay on the car but yeah if you were looking hard enough you would have noticed. Kind of glad I bought this now to look after it properly as I think its been passed around to much in recent years hence why certain bits haven't been replaced as they looked fine.
-
Spec on them?
-
Thanks Id seen them, had them on the last car and do like them. Definitely considering them.

I know I'll change the wheels on the car at some point so just wondering whats out there or what people would sell on. Id like something in decent condition, 17's probably preferred but will consider 16's. Ideally decent width and with tyres. Not looking for anything that will require arch rolling or really stretched tyres. What do you have? Im open to most things but would probably prefer something classy and fairly subtle or nice and rare. A set of Nothelle's would be nice............. :)

Thanks, bit annoying that Im having to do all this straight away, up to £800 already spent on it since Ive had it and still need to replace rear shocks at a minimum. Offending items. You can see there was next to no normal pad contact area. To be fair outers looked okay. Just looked back and its EBC ultimax discs and red stuff pads. Just looks like it lack of use.
-
Well got that car sealed underneath. Decided to take the discs off to have a look and the outer set of pads just fell apart. Rear of the discs was knackered. God knows how long they've been like this, no wonder they were feeling crap.
-
Yeah sorry ACF50, never used it before but heard many bikers recommend it so thought Id try it.
-
Managed to finally get the car up on stands to clean underneath and coat. Overall good with a few bits to keep an eye on. Ive taken all wheels off and coated inside of each arch with Dinitrol spray wax and coated drive train in AC50. Ill brush underneath and coat it with some POR15. Noticed one of rear shocks is goosed so might think about some AP coilovers as they were good on the last car but need to also replace front brakes as the inside of the pads are knackered. Bit annoying that's there lots of little service items that seems to have been neglected to an extent. Ordered some Mintex kit to replace it out. Fitted almost new deeper front spoiler (thanks Troy) which was all very easy to do. Keep thinking about wheels but I really like the std look now. Need to get some more photos up.

Ive decided to run std wheels on the car so looking at spacing them out a little for looks. Having never run rear spacers more that 5mm on previous Corrado's I tried some I hade sitting around and they don't fit over the hub part of the rear discs. Ive used these on other cars no problem (5x112 drilled as well) so is there an specific make I need to get for Corrado rear discs clearnace?

Anyone have a rear koni ta strut in good condition for sale or a pair? One of mine is leaking and looking for temp replacement.

The VRT was running around 360-380bhp. 3.68FD and pelequin LSD. It was ace and I did two days with no issues at all. See thats the thing with 1.8T its better if your going for big power but then I don't see the point if its going to be 250bhp or less. I had a 24v Corrado as well and day to day it was faster but on track I think there would be very little in it with a VR6 as the VR power is all higher up the rev range. Id say lower FD would probably make the biggest difference all other things being equal.
